I love sub -- but I like a patient slow game with impact. I average taking out a BB5 or 6
almost every game. You will never do this with a Kita.

Kita is a fast quick game over in a minute or two, but man is it fun to see those torps go
out.

Have you considered going to Kita, playing around in it, and then as your BO hits level 63
(I think) going back into SS for the higher level sub?

soo tempted.. sub to me is just kind of boring.. while the kita you cause havoc..
which pleases the child in me. i would literally giggle at each hit my torp would do.

Kita
Pros.
Good for long range attack
Also good for short range
Alot of power, I mean It could be the key to what a battle will turn out if ur good
decent speed and good with 3 engies
Cons.
the bb1s and other bbs will take u out first unless ur team is covering u
Ur vunrable to SS and CV attacks
You prolly wont launch all your torps if your under heavy fire
bad w/o engineers
too low durability to make a big difference if ur a noob torper or dodger
low space for any aromour or bulge
Now the SS2
Pros.
You'll have a ton if damage with ur torpedoes
You'll be able to hide from BBs and attack them when ur team is attacking e'm
You'll have a good repair and speed with good crew
and You can do critical dive just in case torps are after ya
You can attack cvs w/o worrying about getting attacked(most of the time)
Cons.
You'll be vunrable to BB attack when u cross the line between ur team and theirs
trying to get to e'm using up less air
once ur out of air you'll be an easy target since BBs are generally faster than you
Other SS can attack you or DDs with depth charges or hedge hogs
once SS and DD see you, your position wil be given away
when u critical dive, You loose life. More importantly when u dicide to normal dive SS
can kill you no problem
It's hard to take out a battleship or anything else with your uber speed(half of the
time)
You lack torpedo launchers(The IJN SS1 Vickers L3 is an exception, Not worth it tho
because of the speed
you can only load so much torps you'll prolly run out before u can hit ur 4th or 5th
target.
Conclusion: Generally I'd go for Kitami because you can run away back to ur team
area faster than a Submarine could. You have more torpedoes you can load in which
gives you more attack even if u play it blind. You can go SS hunting since ur a CL and
it'll be easier to kill e'm since they lack torpedo launchers even if they hurt more. You
have more speed. BUT I strongly suggest playing with kitami in blitzkrieg first before
going into Great battle 1 or 2. you'll need it, You'll learn alot about torping with a
surface ship. Also take kitami with ease cause remember, your life is under 10k.

There're both two pretty different ships. A sub's great for precision target, if you've
got decent engineers, chances are you'll kill your target or have it running from you
for the entire duration. A kita on the other hand works decently well for making
people go where you want to and general crowd control. Course the strongest
point of the kita is it's playstyle, drop your torps and you'll either die while doing it or
run out of torps to drop in which case you can just point towards the enemy and go
do something else. Cause in all practicality a ship that can't deal damage is only
good for scouting. Otherwise choose a sub if you actually want to kill things that
aren't just afked or really low leveled.
