Learning curve for DB is easier.
If they made the MN TB color scheme similar to those of the UK TB, they would be more than deadly. Battleships knows the hitting power of MN TB's so they really watch out for them. This is the other plus factor of TB's over DB's. If you know how to maneuver, the bb you are targetting will be out of the action because he is trying to evade your torps. Now if you do it right, you can make him turn towards your line and be within range of your bb's who was engaging him when you started your bomb run. Bingo! He gets sunk and you still have torps for another ship.
A bb's life is red, all it needs is one DB and it is dead. But here comes a flight of 5 TB planes, hits it smack amidship and it survives. WTH? Yep, it survives because the bulge in that bb is still intact. His red line was because of damages made by gun fire. This is where the DB plane outshines the TB planes.
