Means jack squat helping spread when your gunners are at high lvl and when there is a cap.
I did a mistake lvling him to 119, now I ditch the seaman and restore for another engie
and repair.

We did tested this back in the day and seaman did help the spread, but when
sde stated this it had to change i guess over time i didnt play...

Well rep sounds reasonable, over the scout, as it would require too much of
multitasking. I think managing 45' guns with 2 scouts microing is just too much :)

As angus mentioned, get another rep. Two reps, even if they are 300 vets each, will still
not give you enough repair rate to tank well enough as a BB6.

An extra engi (6) would give you significantly diminished output per engi that it just
isn't worthwhile.

Seaman won't really boost your rep and eng abilities enough to compensate for not having
either another rep (suggested) or engi (not suggested). Further, as far as SDE has noted,
seamen do not boost accuracy/reload. Not to mention you should be capped anyways.

A different option, depending on the type of match you are playing, or your play style, is
to run a 1BO, 2Gunners, 2AA, 3Rep, 4Eng, 2Scout setup. The benefit of this is the ability
to consistently have ships sighted. You could continue to rotate your scouts that are up,
or have both up for coverage in two different spots. Although, this is not as effective
given the lower repair rate afforded IJN in contrast to UK/US (especially so due to the
fact that many UK/US players do not run AA on their BB6).

I have 5/2 on my SY and i do have seaman on my cv...wich is similar lvl as the rest of
the BB crew ...

are u saying that u have 5eng 2rep and a seaman on your SY?

You'll want another rep.

At 2 reps, you're rep rate is going to be quite poor, that if you take a salvo in a BB6
room, it'll take quite some time before you can go back on the battle line.

Seaman doesnt help with spread as far as I know.
