Alright, just curious if I am not the only one ( I hope). That is pure and unique Windows user.

I am saying that, because I had interest using quite a bunch of Operating system this year.

I tried FreeBSD, quite interesting and something particular with the TUI. Made me learn a bit
more of Unix command and admin right. I planned to install a server for sharing files on it
later.

Tried Kubuntu, Interface is quite nice. Except the admin setting somehow dissapoint me a bit.
Tipically the commands of UNIX/Unix-like kept back. Else, interesting feature adds-on right
when booting.

Windows 95/98. Nothing much to say :P Old DOS, requires to have intallation cd/dvd
harware .

Windows XP, somehow I dislike it but I got to live with it. Good thing there are lot of drivers
that are automatically installed when booting it.

OpenSolaris, just boot it yesterday. Didn`t have time to explore in it yet. Heard some
moaning about people talking crap about Oracle. We will see what<s the truth behind it.

Planning to try in the future DragonBSD and OpenBSD.

And yea, they are quite nice. Better if they can`t support game, so I won`t stick my nose too
much in it.

My main purpouse is working, text, multimedia. So I guess they work fine for me.

Else, what have you tried?

Havent really had the time or the need to play with other OS.

Simplicity of XP + Mac mod = Win

I cant stand vista. And the only advantage to using 7 is that it can take more then 3.75gb
of ram.

@skridt

Don't bother trying to get NF to work on Ubuntu (at least using Wine)- it won't work :(

Im running windows XP on my new laptop and soon ill install ubuntu to and try to get
some games working on it including (hopefully) NF. I wanted to install XP on this laptop
because ive had incredibly bad experince with Vista on laptops and win 7 didnt seem
any better... But turns out as soon as i had wiped out all traces of pre-installed HP
software the computer was fast as flash himself. So now im not gonna bother to install
XP (its a pain in the arse to install XP on laptops these days anyway).

EDIT: I meant im running Windows 7 on my laptop.

Some experience with my beloved Tandy, That one police game was my favorite at the time.
Was to young to really operate it beyond gaming purposes.

With windows 98/ME I did little with it. Mostly word documents for school with dial-up
browsing for history reports.

XP was the workhorse of most of my computers, simple and compatible with most programs I
needed to use

Vista was the most pain in the a thing I have ever had to deal with. Had to disable way to
many things to let it run programs pre-vista and took forever to boot up.

7 was a big improvement, was able to run many pre-xp programs without having to use any
compatibility settings or change settings in many ways.

Being a big gamer I stayed away from most Mac OS's and only really use it on my iTouch
since well... Derp. It works fine for anything but games but it still rubs me the wrong
way even when using it for graphic design back in college.
