thank god I did my taxes in January!

Well at least the White House isn't falling for the "we'll make a stopgap for one more
week if you give us this concession" crap, because that would be week after week
of concessions. Not that the Repubs haven't been salivating over the shutdown
idea for months. Wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't their goal.

Though personally I think if they're shutting things down and suspending everyone
without pay, then Congress should not get paid either. But apparently they're the
exception. Nice of them. Not.

And that is why monarchy always won.

You do realize this happens sometimes and is nothing new right? Everyone is blowing it out
of proportion by playing the blame game in an effort to make their party look better. This
is the number one problem with a two party system really.

Half your military spenditure, still be #1 in the world and save billions. These are the
days of tactical missiles being fired into tactical places that can cripple a country. The
days of millions of men fighting in miles of trenches for those few centrimetres is long gone.

Good, shut the money suck down and leave it that way.
