This is a very effective way to use 120 scouts in GBIIs.

For everyone, I was in a BB2. A BB2 can only do so much right off the bat.

I didn't lower the plane but yes I should have if it was really necessary. Obviously it
wasn't in this battle.

It is just a nice tactic to have for BB1-3 for the start to really micro the scout around
if you have the T5 scout. If your in a BB4-6 you catch the fighters while your getting to
the bb line and send them to the opposite corner of the side they are close to.

I didnt launch 2 scouts at the same time cause i only have 3 total on the ship.

As a AA ship:
Well managed T5 are a B%&@#.
They usually hug the surface beyond your range and leave me with 2 options.
1) Ignore it and let him scout
2) Hope to rush him and get the scouter before he relocates.

And if the scout is managed well it will not only keep its distance but i will get
iinstakilled by its owner.

Seriously a well menaged T5 can keep everything scouted out no matter what.

From a IJN CV point of view... i stopped caring.
Just load up another batch of useless fighters and watch them die bu the dozens in enemy
airspace (death to AA or lack of fuel) because the tards on my team have skeletonized lvl
38 scout pilots whom they send in the general direction of the enemy and totally forget
about them.

Still the time invested in microing his scout is going to make his performance as BB worse.
This is the problem in this tactic.Too much time invested in scout will lead to overall
worse performance as BB.Too little and CV will just ignore it or intersept and shoot it
down. So its lose/lose situation.

Its a pretty good idea. Of course better CVs will realize quickly what the heck is
happening and leave the scouts to the AA ships. But it is taking away the CVs players time
by forcing him to micro his planes and if you are persistantly coming BACK with that
scout, to continue microing, thus siezing the iniative away from the CV. Very, very
important. No tactic is ever perfect in every place, but this is a nice thing to keep
around in your back pocket.

Well even average AA can chew planes from the sky with incredible speed. (usually and half
of my planes but who care.)
Back to the point. If CV player let his planes chase 1 scout for so long then he is really
bad player. This 3 fiters can just be send over enemy BB or hunt for slower early
bombers/scouts in no man land.
One more thing. If the CV player let his planes for so long without micro, then he have
more important work than wach 3 fiters. With place to launch 12 planes, its hard to micro
3-4 groups.

Also what is the time you lose microing your scout and ignoring your primary job as BB?

Not the greatest use of a T5 scout. Also US and IJN T4 fighters will catch UK/MN/KM
scouts. Also why fly at default height? Hit sea level and stay at max sight out of AA
range either infront or behind the enemy battle line. If fighters engage - drag scout
north or south along battle line.... also why just 1 scout per wave. Much better to fly 2
or more in a wave for redundancy.

Meh, you're relying too much on your team IMO, and you know how useless these days
teams are.

luka if you know how to micromanage your 120 scout will almost never get shot by aa.

And thx weylin

Good Cv player will just ignore your scout and let AA ships chew it in seconds.Like the US
mustang. This thing is faster than any plane, even some locals.

I like to use a similar tactic against people using locals. Usually the scout gets shot
down because I don't have a 120, but the locals run out of fuel before they make it
back to land.

oh, and sexy dance moves there, elliot
hahaha XD
