an L2, and they'll easily own any side of the map. I do fairly well in a L2, and I'm not
the best BB player in the world, yet I find KM ships easy mode..

i appreciate all of your opinions regarding SY as the best bb5 1 on 1. BUT, as often as i
can remember in GB2, (in the real world of navyfield) where CV's can scout for the L2; I
always see an L2 vs SY, either in South or North.

And what ive noticed is that every time they meet in GB2 L2's would go forward and
would not mind getting hit with a couple of shells from SY, and when the SY is in
range., kaaappuuuufff! 2-3 salvos and its sayonara SY!

Super Yammy is the best BB5, then maybe L2. I haven't played an alsace yet. Since
the Super Yamato has 45 degree guns descent range already, best aa on a BB
arguably, and best speed on a bb5.

If both BB5s had same player ability and same crew types not just as in both for
speed or repair or vice versa, but both have all bases +11 etc. It would also have to
have both crews around the same level or both at 120, and a 120 Super Yamato is
very very very fun to play. I'm not picking SY cause I have one, I'm picking it based
on the facts, +'s, and -'s. Through and through the SY outbeats the L2 in it all.

Also if you can't catch a ship, how are you going to kill it? SY max speed 42, Alsace
42, Monty 40, H44 39 (I think, it's not that great anyways and it's not up for
arguement for being better so it doesn't matter.), then L2 is 39. If you rush a SY or
monty, they can easily range you by running with 45 degree angle guns, and of
course they go faster than the L2 at max speed already. Therefore that's a clear
loss the L2 has again.

The L2 is a really good ship not saying it's a bad bb5 like the H44. It also is very
good against BB6s, but against other BB5s its 2nd or 3rd, not first.

I have an L2 in harbor at the moment. I do not armor for I lack credits to maintain
both a cv and an L2 at the same time. I run with armor and richard will kill me. I run
without and he still kills me. I hate to admit it, but it seems I can't keep pace with
richard's run, gun, run some more, gun some more.

L2 with AA is feasible: Just expect a drop in speed
L2 speed is slower than either monty or yammy (or perhaps because my supports
are still in the bb4 range)

I can turn on a dollar bill seeing as I miss some hints while spotting shells.

BB4 or lower will die with 1 full salvo unless armored like an L1.

is the standard armor set-up for an AW L2?

L2 is the best offensive BB5.
Super Yamato is the best defensive BB5.

What do I mean you may ask?
A L2 can plow through a distracted or unskilled team and likely survive where the SY
can't. It's also the most formidable opponent versus a bb6 1 on 1.

A super yamato on the other hand has the potential to turn a losing battle into a
winning one. In example 3 BB's rushing a Super Yamato can easily be blinded. If done
right the SY will crush the 3 BB's. The extreme hang time of it's shells can cause it to
range a Kaiser if rushing.

"Weaknesses:
- Rather large hitbox"

You think the L2 has a large hitbox? Try driving an H44 :P.

L2 speed cap is 23/39 with a regular set up (I think I've seen some 24/40 with 2 front guns)

Pros:
1. Fantastic damage output.
2. Good spread.
3. Mediocre speed for BB5s.
4. Ironically, it has decent range compared to the other BB5s.
5. Great AW potential
6. Extra support slot.
7. Since UK gets +2 rep and rest, you can probably go 3 reps 7 engs and have massive OH.

Cons.
1. No good/practical choices for AA.
2. Uhhhhh....

Yes, it'll run at 35 OH maximum because it's AW.

im kinda traning 6 engy's ryt now.. wud that be enuf to reach speed cap even if i will
