  • Vets conversion, my results

Hello NF,

in this thread, I have dedicate my times to burn the experts. I was hasting for the 300% vets conversion (or +200%). I have combined the premium account to enhance the chance and to get a better results.

Soon, you will see this table I have made few hours ago. I have include the "before", "after" and "expectation" for this event, i.e., 300% vets conversion with the combination of a premium account.

In conclusion, the results are as expected. The 300% rate conversion is working based on my experience during the past years.

What I do not want to test, is the actual 200% or 100% experts gained. Based on the past, I have experimented this myself with and without premium account as bonus and the event was actually not working.

However, I will be starting to grind through AA. I can expect to get back half of the experts crew within 13 hours of game play.

Anyways, enjoy the results. A warning to those who are going to proceed, your arms and fingers better be in good shape. It actually tires your arms a lot.

By no means as detailed as Richard's but here are some things I wrote down.

Sailor Level 60-75.  Vet count 109->139.  23 conversions out of 252 attempts.

(about 1/11)

Sailor Level 80s.  Vet count 120->160.  64 conversions out 683 attempts.

(about 1/11)

Sailor Level 95-100.  Vet count 230-> 280-320.  24 conversions out of 802 attempts.

(about 1/33)

The totals would then be 111 conversions out of 1737 attempts (17370 experts used) or about 1/16 @ 300% + Premium.  No special wins, no magical log ins, no super criticals, no clicking the button with my toe while chanting Rehor's name - just regular use of an account and trading sailors on and off to test the rate.

I'm a bit sick of hearing people talking about the conversion rate after 30 attempts or even 100.  I did almost 2000 attempts to get those numbers.  And even with that I feel I should go back and be more precise like Richard to get some more definitive numbers.

A conversion attempt like what we usually see posts about are unreliable as the sample sizes are too small.  I had a 300 vet sailor get a successful conversion on the FIRST try.  By the law of NF conversion posts, the result is 100% but we know it's not.   Just as getting 0/30 attempts isn't a true measure either.  I went 0/65 at one point and that naturally averaged out the 1/1.

** Lowbies** with little or no vets  = 29 conversions out of 62 attempts (about 50%) not included in the final numbers.

Is there a formula of vet conversion rate, based on sailor level and number of vets?

Doesn't seem to be a special formula or a magical spell.  Your best bet is to do it at 300% and with premium.  This isn't conclusive but as you get more the more difficult it becomes.  Not as the % of vets on the sailors because I've been able to do lowbies easily even when they reached their max.  It's like 0-50 is almost assured, 50-100 becomes a bit more difficult etc(although my conversion numbers in the 100-200 range stayed fairly consistent).  If I decide to burn through another 10000+ experts I'll take Richard-like notes.

I know it's our nature to want to figure these things out but it's chance.  Do it at 300% with premium but don't go into it with expectations.
