Just wondering as I am wanting to level a cv crew during this event from the ground up. Ive been researching cv's all night during server down time and just wondering if I loose any abilty if I keep my crew at special forces so I can level faster. Thank you for any help! Someone did hint at this idea but im afraid at lost ability in the long run I guess i dont quite understand all this yet ~S~

You'll only lose ability if you class them later than 40 for fighter, and the respective level for bomber.

It's actually a good idea for future fighter and bomber pilots to skip the "rookie" (scout) classing and leave them "special forces" until they reach their fighter or bomber classing: You don't lose any fighter or bomber ability AND you gain more repair and restore ability.

OK, only 30 displayed ability per sailor for a fighter and a little more for bomber pilots, but with 8 pilots at lvl 120 with all their vets and experts, that adds up quite nicely...

I guess that left me a little confused. Are you saying that I do slightly loose ability but gain restore/repair? Honestly I could care less about the restore/repaire ability my goal is to cap these fp and db. Still havent yet decided on a nation i guess ill make that call when I get home from work tonight.

by dp you mean dp gunner or what? if fp you mean fighter than if you want to keep them, you will have to spend a lot of experts on burning vets.

db= dive bombers i might have said dp it was late/early depending on how you translate.

Once I class them past special forces I wont have access to use guns or torps. Maybe I have a misconception but if I just roll around without doing anything in battle wont that affect the amount of xp gained per battle. Sure maybe its a few hundred xp per game but that adds up after 20 lvls. Im trying to take a path of least resistance.

If that's trolling for you, I suggest you look up the word properly. He was just pointing out a flaw in your logic, which you have since confirmed.

Since classing on time I have had a dramatic decrease in xp gain. Cant do any damage while trying to lvl 6 pilots at once with no gunners ;) 

Of course you would say get gunners but im not interested :P ill stick to the grind and mouch for the next 2 days

Now thats good stuff thank you! I tried to find something like that but couldnt so very helpfull. I went ahead and classed the pilots on time. I have had a dramatic decrease in xp gained per battle but its worth not loosing a single point of ability in the long run!
