I've seen the "account recovery" post. Did a little researching and found out I last played this game probably 1st or 2nd quarter of 2012, so 3 years ago. Is there any point to ask for recovery (and if so how? ticket? which category?) or has my stuff vanished after a myriad of server merges?

Yes, yes there is a point to asking. I had not played since around Jan 2012 and came back 11 days ago to hang and play with old friends. I put in a ticket in billing with ALL the information I had and got my account back this morning (HUGE THANK YOU to Karma!!!). 

The thing to keep in mind is you have to give them as much information as you can. Dig through your shop history, provide that to them. Give them screenshots you have of anything. Get them as close as possible to that last time you played. Ask really nice.

And it works! Have faith! It was a great feeling this morning when I logged in and saw my beautiful Essex and Iowa sitting in the port with all my sailors. So, perservere and do not spam them. Make sure you have all the information you can find and hook them up with it. Make it as easy as you can for them to find your information.

Disclaimer time.... If you were on the EU servers and havent played after 2013 you are in trouble. I was lucky in the fact that I am a long time player from the Yamato server before any of the merges so my stuff was still lingering.
