I wouldn't reccomend running NF on anything but Bootcamp, which really isn't worth it. NF is coded to run on windows 98.

yes you can use NF on a MacBook Pro as that's what I do.  I use parallels and windows xp.  It works as good as any other comp and doesn't seem to crash any more often than anyone else.

A couple of transition notes for you:  On a Mac, all F1-12 keys require the function(fn) button (blue at lower left of keyboard usually)  So rate of fire (f4) is actually fn+f4.  Hopefully that makes sense.

If you use a antivirus program in your parallels windows xp parittion, use AVG.  Do not use Norton or Macafee and absolutely do not use Kasparsky.   My experience with those and windows based games like strat o matic hockey, baseball and ofc navyfield is less than positive.

Only other transition to remember (that I can think of) is for screen shots use Command+shift+4 (not f4, just the 4 key)   Im not sure if NF has a default screenshot keystroke sequence. I've not been playing long enough to find out.

I use bootcamp and windows 7, and it works. A bit slugish as I have onboard graphics, but still works.

However, having a dedicated GPU and a desktop is far better.

I'm using MBP.  Installed Win XP on Parallels Desktop.  No complaints. It's nice, no alt-tabs.

Screenshot is shift+command+3 (not 4) and by default is saved on your desktop.

You can set the function keys to not use the fn key. Tinker on System Preferences.

I learn something new everyday. Not had my Mac that long.  There is a selectable camera shot you can do with the other sequence but I'll have to try shift+command+3 and get into the preferences

Me too. I rarely have a problem. I'm on an iMac, not an iBook. My Toshiba laptop.... that is another matter.

Sell your expensive Mac and build a PC for half price that can play games a billion times better.
