  • Memory Could not be Read error

    07. 09. 2011 11:08

I have been having a problem were the game freezes but the music keeps playing then sometimes if I click somewhere or do Ctrl + Alt + Delete I get an error message saying "Memory  Could Not Be Read , Click  Ok to terminate the program".

It can happen at startup, in a waiting room and in battle, it seems completely random.

It has been happening since the update in late June, is there anything I can do about it because I have been disconnecting in battle daily, sometimes at the EXP screen and I get nothing.

Try updating your computers service pack. I was looking up some ways to fix that issue, not sure if this might help also, but you can try checking if your CPU is overheating.

If you needed my computer specs they are:

a HP G62-225NR with a Intel Pentium T4500 processor and 3 GB of ram. My graphic card is a "Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family" card.

My computer runs windows 7 home premium 64-bit.

OK where is the game installed, and do you play other games on the machine? Anything by Steam?

I have it installed in a folder on the desktop.

Yes I do play other games both single player and MMO.

I also have steam installed and have played steam games on this computer but I do not run steam at the same time as Navyfield.

Lol I believe there was a post two weeks ago about the exact same problem by Mr. John Cheker. Yes, I experienced the same problem many times, which was especially annoying as it happened 3 times during an HA (to all my fleetmates). This problem should be fixed soon.

My specs are:

Quad Core AMD 1.8GHz
1GB Dedicated AMD HD6550 (i believe)
4 GB RAM

>much higher than system requirement, yet still experiences lag, and crashes...sigh*

i suggest lowering the prebuffered frames of navyfield in your case. unless your connection is REALLY crappy, all your seeing is known as input lag. it's the time for the pre-rendered frames to dissipate and your mouse to appear to move or a ship to appear to change direction.
