  • How To Find Sailor Cap

I've no doubt that people may be sick of this topic but having read previous forum posts, I am still unsure as to how to do this. Basically I want to know when to stop adding vets/experts to a sailor. I have looked at the NFCalc, I still dont get it. So if anyone has the patience to explain how I know when a sailor is maxed out, I would be delighted to hear.

You have to do some math....here is how to calculate accuraccy cap.

1st look at gunner sailor  lvl is 81

gunner lvl * 4706   + 1,000,000

example   81 * 4706=381186
add 1,000,000   381186+1000000=1,381,186  a.ka. result 1

Next  look at gunner sailors displayed ability, the number of vets, and number of experts.

Multply number of vets times 4 and add number of experts

Example   Displayed accuracy ability is 2424,   100 vets and 175 experts.

mutiply 100 vets X 4 and add 175 or 100 x4 =400    400 +175= 575

Multiply result (the 575) by the displayed ability...575 x 2424=1,393,800 a.k.a result 2

If the result, in this case 1,393,800 is greater then your first calculation (1,381,186) then the gunner is capped.  If it is less then 1,393,800 it is not capped. 

formulas are:

4706*lvl +1,000,000

(4 * no of vets + no of experts) * displayed ability

If result 2 > result 1  then capped.

If you are not capped, you can recalculate adding vets or experts to see what it will take to cap the sailor.

Thanks very much Tulsa, that looks like what I want. Unfortunately I am totally retarded at maths but I knew this and will get an adult to go through the formulas with me : )

U have chosen the wrong/right example. All reload/acc caps in this forum are old. there was a ability change raising the accuracy/reload cap by 20%. so u actually have to multiply cap those values for accuracy with 1.2

The reload cap is static for a gunner lvls. its somewhere between 3 and 2.5 mil. dont know exact number.

The rep cap is still the same (35mil+- from all sailors together, resulting in a rep rate of 280 dp/s

I agree with NIborGER. That is the correct difference made since Adelbert's last update.

Multiplying the old Acc Cap by 1.2 is a guestimate btw.
We can't check whether that's what the devs actually did.
For most gunners it doesn't matter anyway. If you keep them at the reload cap for the gun you're using, the TA for acc is still way above even 1.2*"old acc cap".

After you reach the reload cap, adding more vets is purely done so you can remove more recruits from your gunners, making them lighter.
Unless you're really anal about your crew weight I wouldn't spend a thing doing it though, vet conversion events ftw.

i vet capped a 120 engineer with like 346 vets.

 

then i sold it.
