  • New pc, mouse/keyboard lag with internet on

Hey, Ive just bought a new pc, Irush- I5 to be precise... its fresh out the box, windows 7, 4gb of ram.

Ive just got it connected to the internet and the mouse/keyboard lags like hell when it is connected. I thought i remembered i had had a similar problem when i hadnt input the wpa2 key properly ages ago, but i know i have the wpa2 key correct at this time...

 I cant really find any similar problems so i can't really find any real solution for it as the pc is under no stress whatsoever....

Anyone have any ideas or experience of a similar problem? 

*edit*
both the mouse and keyboard are microsoft products.
Mouse is a MS sidewinder, cant remember the keyboard...

I dont lag and its b/c i run comcast cable.  My buddys that run clear lag and dsl lag.  Ive played at there homes and i lag when im over there.  Get a cable or optic connection if you can.  They also have dual band routers for gamers. gl

Do u have satellite internet?. It sounds like latencies with ur ISP.

I think I have it sorted now, I think it was the new wireless network card. (cable direct to my pc is impossible, wireless is the only way for me to go...)
It seemed to calm itself down, although it still was really unstable and would frequently d/c from the router. Got a replacement (but same) wireless card and so far so good, speed seems to have picked up a bit too.
