i'm running win7 64bit. when i tried to open NF, it says i need 32bit OS. what does it means? does navyfield has 64bit version?

while there are issues with Win7 (patch is SUPPOSED to be coming), NF will run on it.  Make sure you choose to run the program as an Administrator and in win98 compatability mode.

Compatibility mode actually increases the crash rate of the game. 


Installing the runtime libraries NF was natively built in reduce/remove crashing. (Instructions on this in Technical Support)


Install NF into C:/Program Files/SD Enternet/NavyFIELD

Not Program Files (x86) 

Make sure you have at least the 2005 C++ runtimes, .Net Framework 2.0 runtime and Direct X 8 and 9 installed (The End User Runtime for Direct X installs all the pre-11 files as well) since those are what the current game engine looks for.

Win 7 home prem (64 bit) works fine for me, always has...one thing I do hafta do sometimes is right click the launcher and select run as admin...other than as others have hinted at is run in compatibillity mode...do this by right clicking, selct properties, select compatibillity tab and choose run as XP mode or whatever...

 

XP = Best OS Ever. PEriod!!!
