I'm assuming this is your first playthrough.

In navyfield, or any other video game for that matter, you do NOT power level. You will painstakingly learn your angles on the aiming FCS or grind in boredom using the auto FCS.

Either way, prepare to have a lot patience.

Lower lvls are fairly fast as you get higher having an AA ship to level crew is a good Start

Go to http://www.trainworld.us/NF2/English/index.html and read some of the hints it will help put you on right track

obviously, i dont know what lvl you are etc...

but speaking from experience....

1. Do GB
2. leave  sailors unassigned....a plain sailor advances faster than one that has been assigned (eng, bo, etc )
3. if you are able to,,,use a CV...a cpl pilots, a BO and the rest pain sailors works well

There is pretty much nothing in this post that will help you in this game. Perhaps do GB but that is debatable.

Always class sailors on time (IJN, US and UK aa gunners are the deffinate exception, fighter pilots are a debatable exception. Read the guides on this forum for more help on this). If you don't class on time you will decrease there ability.

CVs are not a good way to level, AAing and BB in GB will give you the most experience. And I would advise starting out with a BB line whilst you're learning, it is more forgiving to mistakes and most useful crew to have when levelling a cv or ss (as a second line).

My advice, enjoy playing and learning, don't worry about levelling fast, you will be in a bb4+ before you know it.

Join a fleet that can help teach you the game and you will become better meaning you level faster.

Well since you didnt tell us what nation your lvling or your current level just join a fleet that you like or that your interested in and ask around a fleet is good for a few things like..

1. Getting to know people. (making friends)
2. Helping with sailors and crew setups telling you what to do and what NOT to do.
3. Possibly helping you level. (most fleets do it for people that are away and cant level there own stuff or for friends cause there cool like that but just know if you dont do most of the work yourself no one will probably help you or will stop helping you)
4. Harbor assaults the game mode that is keeping this game running atm its alot of fun and competitive.

You can find a list with all the current fleets in NF in the link below.

This. Kila has the right idea...the other guy and delay classing sailors overall should NOT be done.

If you have a few decent sailors, then I find that suicide running in blitzkreigs is useful, as one of the smallest and fastest ships in the game you will be very hard to hit and can do a lot of damage if you keep firing. I've managed to gain a level a battle up until 15~ with this tactic, and did 14K damage as a DD1 in one battle.

I thoguht DDs got 100% shared XP in Blitz... but things change all teh time so maybe I'm wrong.

Either way, suicide running in Blitz is only useful to other players because you will get bored of leaching very quickly and leave NF altogether...hooray!
