Great post devildog. i think you captured eloquently what the event is about.

I am sorry but there is one great glaring problem with this thread.

"so any event that trys to give boost to our servers and game should be welcomed, and customers that have issues with it should be allowed to voice their opinions about it as well"

Now, I completely agree that customers should be able to voice their opinions and anyone who has even read these forums will know I have voiced my opinion more than most, but to suggest that any event that TRYS to boost server numbers should be welcomed is naive and dangerous.

Efforts that PROTECT the playing environment and make POSITIVE changes towards gameplay and fun for players should be encouraged.  Putting in gamechanging elements in the form of 14/14/14 sailors which are easily gained by players who play is just dangerous, and stupid.

The whole system of this game changes overnight when you put in something so stupidly out of place with the rest of the game.  You are effectively raising the bar, and telling players that getting these 14/14/14 sailors and leveling them is the way to go if they want to compete seriously.

As I have said, this is dangerous and makes no positive contribution towards the server or the population.  All it will do is make a bunch of people buy their 14/14/14 crews, get to lvl 30 with them and then realise that the game STILL suffers from old bugs, or unbalanced content or a stupid community.

But then, that is all SDE wants.  Quite frankly, if 10% of the server population BVs a full 14/14/14 crew then that is game, set and match to SDE.  Another unbalanced addition to the game, and another roll of notes in their pocket.

Balance OP content by adding OP content.

Fix inflated economy by printing more money.

And to splid, the I also must agree with you the 14/14/14 .. sailor was a terrible addition, and very much a big middle finger to people who have fine tuned and perfected a crew just to have a sailor that tops all others for any position in a ship.

this goes to everything I have stated in the thread, I 100% welcome ppl to voice their opinions about content of game and events and ppl should be 100% allowed to do so as long as

1. respect is given to the person making the opinion agree/disagree 


the only reason I made this thread is so ppl understand that ppl complaining about "free" stuff is not complaining about "free" stuff 

this event in no way is a free event giving away free stuff, it is a earned based event

I do agree that alot of the prizes handed out are either wrong or a little insulting, giving that this community has put up with alot from this company over its many years of life, and I think all the threads are ppl frustrated in SDE for not seeing that its player base is unhappy and trys to sell a event or prizes a restution for its bad game play and they feel a little cheated

I think the +14 sailor is a joke, was a joke the first time, is a joke now and needs to be removed 100%

I think the prizes given out dont justify the means in order to recieve them

I rather they give everyone a month prem and a exp boost event with random drops and make it a real free event, I think its the best solution for this unhappy community

make more time for content fixes instead of sitting around looking for ways to buy our love so to speak

I only wanted to point out the difference in this event, that nothing in this event is free, and I ask that all the post to say other wise be deleted as trolling
