You get exp penalty for Hitting friendly ships so why not for hitting friendly planes?
it happens to often that i send a wave of ftrs and half of my wave ft is taken down by friendly AA before i reach enemy side.

My suggestion: give plane tk a exp penalty too.

i dont mean that the exp penalty has to work the same as with ships but for example:
- ... exp loss for every plane
- every ... planes ... exp loss (because ofcourse it can happen that u accidently kill 1 plane)

maybe other ppl know another solution but i dont think TKing planes should be without penalty

regards,

kris

No. There are other solutions I'd support far sooner than this one. Often times it's accidental. Some CV drivers fly their planes right into the path of where the friendly AA is shooting in an attempt to get the kills over the AA. I know I have shot down friendly planes plenty of times due to this exact reason.

I see no reason to punish it when it's rarely intentional.

I'd just go back to my original proposal: Make all team damage = 0 (as if firing AA shells at a friendly ship).

There are other suggestions like what alex wrote that will reduce the TKing of planes. Try using the search function next time.

Yes I do, because it's true.  Not every time, but "often times" it really is.  Or the CV driver is just being stupid.

Don't try so hard to be melodramatic.  I drive CVs and sometimes my planes get shot down by friendly AA.  "Often times..." it is my own dumb fault.

When I am using the CVs, I mostly run Fighter heavy, with bombers when the ramps are available.

That means my enemy targets are bombers and scouts, with scouting duties until fuel runs out.

At some point during some games I completely give up trying to clear the skies of local scouts and fighters over my side's BBs because I lose too many fighters to knuckleheads in AA ships that shoot at everything.  (They're the same guys with HH that spray it all over, sinking friendly subs and hitting ships without any remorse whatsoever).  That's when I load my bombers up and just use the fighters for scouting duties and bomber path protection.

My fighters are all T4+ and can easily intercept all bomber classes, so I focus on that.  I don't hear too many notes of appreciation for taking down 11 enemy bombers headed towards my BB line either.

However, an unattended fighter will circle-of-stupidity with a scout anywhere, anytime it isn't being closely watched.  With 8 squadrons of planes in action, one or two planes that get distracted just happen occasionally.

Conversely, I've seen many games were one or two competent AA ships can keep an enemy blind and protected as good or better than any fighter support.   A hard blast of AA on a tight formation can drop 3 or 4 planes instantly.

The only time I could accept an xp penalty for AA boats is if they are literally right next to my ship and firing in front of my flight deck while i'm launching with no planes around or if they shoot my planes down with 0 enemy planes nearby but that would probably be too much for SDE to handle coding in.
