Hello Everyone, I would like to point out a few of my thoughts about manual fcs vs auto fcs. I know that people swear that it is the most accurate and realistic, but hear me out before you start ranting and raving about the pros  of manual fcs's. I have been playing NF about eight years or so. I have seen  maps come and go,New ships, ship specs, gun types, gun ranges, elite sailors, premium accounts, HA and Clan War modes.  After all this time I see that the player base is still shrinking and continues to do so.  NF has gone from 1 server to 2-4 servers back to 2 and  now eventually back to 1. WHY ? Why does NF keep losing Players ? I'm gonna say it's because they  lost the "Fun Factor " Most people play "any" game for enjoyment, to waiste their extra time, or to chat with their friends.  After all this time. I only play NF because of the friends I have made over the years.  I enjoy hearing their comments and jokes.  So....is it still " FUN" ? Sometimes.I understand that the pro-players want to keep it technically correct and realistic. The harder more advanced you make a game ,sometimes you lose the younger players who just want to have fun as well as the adults. If manual fcs is"ALL" so "GOD" like. Why not remove auto fcs completely from the game ? If I'm PAYING for ELite Sailors and premium subscriptions I would like the same hit ratio and shell spread of a manual fcs available to All Players. Kids want to have fun ,so do the adults. Technical Superority does'nt create more players,it drives them away. If noone is able to compete with older higher level players. I'm sure they'd loose interrest in the game and go elsewhere. There is more to the game than just hit ratio. Tactics and skills with team play will win the day. I dont think gun hits/damage equal to the manual players would discourage new players from continueing to play NF, but not having the same hit ratio would drive potentially long term players away. As I have seen it do over the years. MAYBE atleast premium players could get  equal ablities.  Making auto fcs harder to play with is just bad buisness sense. If manual FCS is so great why are they affraid of Auto ? People will play a  game if they enjoy it. If not ,they will eventually move on. I suggest that NF only have 1 type fcs in the next version of NF2. An unequal choice is no choice at all.  The Fun Factor vs Technical gaming skills. How did AngryBirds get so popular  anyways ?
Let the Praise's of manual fcs begin......

I agree with your view that the game should have Fun factor... but what defines fun? That is what is interesting.

For me, this game is fun BECAUSE of manual FCS.
For others, auto makes it fun since they don't have to learn angles.

Having both systems makes it fun for all. Take away 1, and one group will lose their "Fun factor".

About manual performing better than auto... well, its hader to use, so why not benefit of an advantage for learning it. In any game, you play a harder game mode for better benefits, this is no different.

Auto was improved, so now its really not that much worse, some people can actually do well with auto.

I like this system of 2FCS very much and I think NF2 will lose a lot if only 1 of them stays... doesn't matter which. If one is gone, the game will lose a lot.

Please don't reduce the font size, I have pretty good eyesight and this is now too small for me to read comfortably.

Let's all use small front and type a wall of text with it. It is so cool, so damn cool to do that just to annoy the crap out of everyone.

And no. Removing Manual isn't going to make the game any more fun. By the way CVs will rule the rooms because AA will be impossible.

badbadnoob

normally I am with the advocates for manual aim (on most everything bigger then a DD... I stayed auto with my CV just... cause...)

but last year I hurt my hands/arms at work (to the point my hands didn't work properly ... it was great lemme tell you)

even now back to work I have issues with small rapid finger movements .. so manual aim for me isnt gonna happen any time soon... even with auto I can't play much in a row or for too long...

so I am rather happy the game has auto available ... but I look forward to be able to use manual again at some point

So if I'm correct, you're officially challenging a mod about font size?

As was discussed in previous threads, auto aim is a benefit to the thousands of disabled players that play this game.  Unless you are disabled and attempt to operate a SS gun.  Then you are out of luck.

Manual aiming is essential for AA.

Auto aiming is essential for ASW.

Auto aiming is essential for fictory rushing.

All very fun, unless you are on the receiving end.
