Thanks for a couple of spelling errors highlighted recently, which have been passed on.  I think it is time for a general scrub through so if you see spelling errors on your browsing journeys then please can you add them here and I get a list together to send up rather than a message each time.  Thanks.

Spelling is an interesting topic:

Eonverye taht can raed tihs rsaie yuor hnad..

Only great minds can read this
This is weird, but interesting!

fi yuo cna raed tihs, yuo hvae a sgtrane mnid too

Cna yuo raed tihs? Olny 55 plepoe out of 100 can.

i cdnuolt blveiee taht I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd waht I was rdanieg. The phaonmneal pweor of the hmuan mnid, aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it dseno’t mtaetr in waht oerdr the ltteres in a wrod are, the olny iproamtnt tihng is taht the frsit and lsat ltteer be in the rghit pclae.. The rset can be a taotl mses and you can sitll raed it whotuit a pboerlm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe. Azanmig huh? yaeh and I awlyas tghuhot slpeling was ipmorantt!

Seriously though, website observations appreciated.

P.S I have not stickied this at the moment as there are quite a few already.

I shall translate for all of you what vick has said and yes I must be one of those 55 people :D

Translatetion:

"Everyone that can read this raise your hand..
Only great minds can read this
This is wierd, But interesting!
If you can read this, you have a strange mind too
Can you read this? Only 55 people out of 100 can.
I couldnt belive that I could actually understand what I was reading. The phaonmeal power of the human mind, according to a research at cambridge university, it doesn't matter in what order the letters in a word are, the only important thing is that the first and last letter be in the right place.. The rest can be a total mess and you can still read it without a problem. This is because the human mind does not read every letter by itself, but the word as a whole. Amazing huh? yeah and I always thought spelling was important!"

Hey vick do I get a prize for translateing it for you :D

It was reported some time ago but the trade section still says "Bater".

Not spelling mistakes but:-

Ship

http://navyfield.com/GameInfo/Guide/ShipComponents.aspx

The armour section needs a rework to explain how each type of armour works.

The ammunition section focuses on APC as the main type of shell for anti armour, not AP.

No section on Hedgehogs.

No section on Smoke

No section on Mines

Nations

http://navyfield.com/GameInfo/Guide/Nation.aspx

Huge issues with the national traits. Needs to be rewritten by the Test Team Leaders (Alex and Nyer)

Sailors

http://navyfield.com/GameInfo/Guide/Sailor.aspx

A picture detailing what support slots are is needed. Updates to this are needed for the new nations.

Add in the amount of sailors you require for BB6/CV6, and a small paragraph on ship setups for those ships (I can write if needs be).

Battlemodes

http://navyfield.com/GameInfo/Guide/Battle.aspx

New game modes need to be added here. Night battle needs a few more points regarding spread.

Trading

http://navyfield.com/GameInfo/Guide/Trade.aspx

Ingame trade function needs adding

How to Control

http://navyfield.com/GameInfo/Guide/HowToControl.aspx

Needs to add that B increases spread (ie. when ship is straightened)

Details of each of the F4 firing modes

Addition of guides to playing CV, BB, SS, Support Roles.

Ship Tree & Sailor Tree & Components

Should be embedded rather than a pop up. Needs to be updated.

Boot Camp

http://navyfield.com/GameInfo/Intro/BootCamp.aspx

Will need updating after the merge.

Useful terms could be expanded upon

Flash Guide

Will look over when I get chance after lectures.

That would be awesome, especially for new players. Its probably worth putting some of the guides that are on NF-Guides.com and trainworld on here. (Rolleso is still in TNF iirc, and NF-Guides is owned by SDE now IIRC).

@Vick

Would it be possible to get some kind of XML feed and/or API for the public rankings/HOF?
People love stats, can use them to make signitures to advertise the game, to help manage fleets etc etc.

It would be a nice feature Lj, I will raise it when I pass in these corrections.

I passed the suggestion about exporting the ranking data to Karma awhile ago, but didn't hear of anything since.

Copied Alex, I will chase.  It might have been looked at and put in the too difficult tray, but I will try and find out.
