  • We Are Still Here

I find it interesting that the thread we had for people voicing their concerns about the moderators of this game has been removed, only after it was bumped so as to stay relevant.

Yet another example of unwanted attention being swept under the rug.

The actions that we are all concerned about will continue indefinitely as long as the mod force is comprised of volunteers. Are we expected to believe that will all the money people spend on this game that SDE is unable to offer some paid moderator positions?

If you have nothing to lose, you will do what you want. If the mods were actually paid and had a job, they would be more likely to do their job correctly because there is something for them to lose - a paycheck.

Some simple reorganizing of the mod structure is all that is need.

- Pay moderators

- Moderators MUST have someone to answer to, they cannot be the "end of the line" when it comes to customers. If they have no one to answer to, who is wathing over them, this will continue

- When I GMed for WoW, we were completely unable to take support tickets from servers we played on. This is a good idea that limits  the likelihood of "favorites". I know this might not be applicable with the server merge, but something similar should be implemented

- There have to be clear-cut rules for mods and their behavior. At just about any customer service center I've worked at over the years, more than half of the actions I've heard of taking place hear would lead to immediate termination of the offending party.

Maybe I'm completely wrong, but I would hope that SDE will take come action. As it is, there is a group of players that have been given power and are using it to alienate the regular customer base. I am not aiming this at anyone inparticular, it is just a gernalization of what seems to go on around here.

I mean, people being banned for posts made on 3rd party websites? You have absolutely no right.

People being banned for posting private messages from MODs? Retarded in my opinion - I highly doubt the rule would be enforced if someone posted a PM from a MOD that was restoring their account in order to thank them for it; only when it negatively reflects on the mod force. If this message is deleted, so be it. I have C&Ped it and will repost it as necessary. This is AN ONLINE GAME. A number of people in power are turning this into one of THE MOST CENSORED PLACES I'VE EVER SEEN ON THE INTERNET, and it's a freaking game... wow.

I do love this game, and whole-heartedly wished that I had never come into the forums, because then I would be blissfully unaware of what is going on around here and be able to enjoy my game. But when people I know that are good people trying to get a point across are harassed, banned, and become targets of those in power, I'm going to say something.

YOU CANNOT KEEP BRUSHING US ASIDE! WE ARE HERE, WE'RE GOING TO STAY, WE'RE THE REASON THIS GAME IS EVEN AROUND. KEEP TREATING US THIS WAY, AND FEED US FUEL FOR THE FIRE.

I post this as an avid NF player who only wishes to see the best for the game.

Thank you to anyone who has taken the time to read this.

Moderators used to be paided by special crew (modded crew) I think they may still be some of those crew around, not sure. Also last I heard, moderators, get more experiance, and they used to get a turtle ship. I am not sure things have changed, but I dont feel, that moderators should be paid. I would not want to be paid for a job like this. I like helping people. Even though I am not a moderator, I still help players, and when there is a moderator in the room, they some times do not help players, who have questions. (With the merge coming up, I think they will have to many moderators.)

Wow, how has this thread lasted even this long? I usually get 2-10 minutes til my posts disappear. I may occasionally say a word like sh*t or something, w/e. Wouldn't want any kids to be scarred by my foul vocabulary while they happily simulate the violent deaths of thousands of sailors every 15-20 min.

To the OP, good call man, what you say has been said before many times, and yeah, I'm sure a lot of us wish we never started coming to the forums, lotta bad juju here.

This is truly the most censored place on the web, bar none. Anyone, find me a more moderated forum, I doubt you can. And COMPLETELY ironic that a South Korean company would run their forums like Kim Jong Il. Like, whoa.

 Yeah, I said it.

yeah just proves how 12 tickets complaining about the actions and the miss use of power that some mods have, every time its brought up its either harassment or the ticket vanishes, sad that people have to go to nebby server mods to get anything handled, and yet the whole post is now gone? hmmmmm..... somethings fishy here...

I have a right to post my opinions on ANYTHING that is not Illegal in the U.S.A.

That includes the Commissar-Like-Censorship of the currently tyrannical overlords.

Down with the government!

If you don't understand "Cisco" humor, you need a lesson or two.

If I am forum banned again, I rest my case.

So if there is a rule in this game that says 'do not post private communications on third-party websites', which there is, and you break that rule, then there should be no punishment?  Sorry but I dont see that at all.  The rule is there, the rule was highlighted to the individual concerned in private communications and then that was posted on a third-party open internet site.  How much more of a rule breach should bring a punishment then?

Now you can debate whether we need that rule or it needs rewording or even removing, but whilst it exists then it should be applied, especially when the initial approach was a request to simply move the original private message to a private area!

Sorry but no sympathy and yes locked.
