I find it interesting that the thread we had for people voicing their concerns about the moderators of this game has been removed, only after it was bumped so as to stay relevant.

Yet another example of unwanted attention being swept under the rug.

This thread is for people to voice their concerns about the game in a constructive way; please try to keep it that way.

The actions that we are all concerned about will continue indefinitely as long as the mod force is comprised of volunteers. Are we expected to believe that will all the money people spend on this game that SDE is unable to offer some paid moderator positions?

If you have nothing to lose, you will do what you want. If the mods were actually paid and had a job, they would be more likely to do their job correctly because there is something for them to lose - a paycheck.

Some simple reorganizing of the mod structure is all that is need.

- Pay moderators

- Moderators MUST have someone to answer to, they cannot be the "end of the line" when it comes to customers. If they have no one to answer to, who is wathing over them, this will continue. Oversight must be in place to keep the Moderators in check, as well as unruly players.

- When I GMed for WoW, we were completely unable to take support tickets from servers we played on. This is a good idea that limits  the likelihood of "favorites". I know this might not be applicable with the server merge, but something similar should be implemented.

- There have to be clear-cut rules for mods and their behavior. At just about any customer service center I've worked at over the years, more than half of the actions I've heard of taking place hear would lead to immediate termination of the offending party.

Maybe I'm completely wrong, but I would hope that SDE will take come action. As it is, there is a group of players that have been given power and are using it to alienate the regular customer base. I am not aiming this at anyone inparticular, it is just a gernalization of what seems to go on around here.

I mean, people being banned for posts made on 3rd party websites? You have absolutely no right.

People being banned for posting private messages from MODs? Waste of time in my opinion - I highly doubt the rule would be enforced if someone posted a PM from a MOD that was restoring their account in order to thank them for it; only when it negatively reflects on the mod force. There are much more constructive ways of Moderators spending their time. If this message is deleted, so be it. I have C&Ped it and will repost it as necessary. This is AN ONLINE GAME. A number of people in power are turning this into one of THE MOST CENSORED PLACES I'VE EVER SEEN ON THE INTERNET, and it's a freaking game... wow.

I do love this game, and whole-heartedly wished that I had never come into the forums, because then I would be blissfully unaware of what is going on around here and be able to enjoy my game. But when people I know that are good people trying to get a point across are harassed, banned, and become targets of those in power, I'm going to say something.

YOU CANNOT KEEP BRUSHING US ASIDE!

WE ARE HERE, WE'RE GOING TO STAY, WE'RE THE REASON THIS GAME IS EVEN AROUND.

I post this as an avid NF player who only wishes to see the best for the game.

Thank you to anyone who has taken the time to read this.

I would also like to ask, in the interest of curiosity, around how many support tickets per 8-hour day do Moderators take and address?

While i agree with some of your points maybe you are not well informed about other issues.

With all the harm certain people have done to the forums, to the game and to individual players the fact they are trying to look as victims for well deserved bans is funny. You shouldn't believe all what you read about certain people being persecuted, harrashed, targetted by the power or other conspiracy theories. Rules are there for a reason, if people are kindly warned about something and far from listen they insist on breaking them it's logical they got a ban. Another issue is if certain rule is correct or not, maybe a thread of FLF would be a good way of reviewing it ... oh wait ... they were destroyed, nvm.

Anyways i fully agree some changes, reestructuration and changes into TNF are needed and detailed many of them in FLF forums several times and also via ticket. Problem is these issues are more apropiated to expose and talk about them in the fleet leader forums ... forums wich got deleted due to the unmatureness, egoism and personal agendas of some ruinning our best link with TNF/SDE. Forums we don't have now and forums i consider they are strongly needed precissely for talking issues like the need of  some changes in TNF or the reviewing of certain rules.

The thread wasn't removed it was locked and it had a reasonable explanation.

This one will be locked now because the established rules state that if you have a problem with any moderator, you should address that concern through Support Ticket so it can be propperly reviewed. A thread on the forum won't solve your problem.
