  • bb spread question

Antisync

hi I've recently started playing usn for bb gameplay and I'm really wondering about the various bb and gun spread relative to gunner levels I currently have 11/11 v/e non boosted gunners and have both sevastopol and Colorado. the spread on these 2 bbs are unacceptable at best in a gb environment.

I understand gunners have an accuracy cap limited to their level and that boosting or overvetting them after they reach such caps have no use, and that the only way to get better spread is to level them up

so the question I wanna ask is : according to your own personal experience, at what levels do such gunners get acceptable spread on the various usn bb guns leading up to bb5? for example, when does my sevastopol and colorado get good spread?

well you need to boost and expert your gunners fully right now as they are no where near the cap. and try to get 109 vets on each if you have the vet packs. but boosts are the only way besides experts/vets to increase your spread. unboosted gunners im pretty sure will never reach a acc/reload cap

my gunners are low lvl still so i am not much of a help here.

But, out of curiocity your gunners are they the same lvl as your bo? if so you should try and get your gunners around 10lvls higher than your current bb guns lvl. SO if your using guns lvl 73 for example you should have gunners lvl 83 in order to have a good spread. Thats why its always advisable to have 2 bb bos in order to have your support crew as close to your bo lvl and your gunners ahed of him.

For the rest i am sure someone else will answer to you :P

Well in general shell spread gets good when your gunner is around 10 levels higher than the gun he is using.

Some guns however will have bad spread no matter what level gunners you have.

Also boosting gunners might help but is not required in the long run.

hey thanks for all the input. well my gunners are the same level as my bo, but I plan to use lower level bbs anyways. as for my gunners, they are fully vetted and exp,  just not boosted. but from what I read at lordkelvin's guide it was mentioned that such gunners should hit the acc cap at approx level seventy plus.

LK's guide is slightly out of date since reload and accuracy caps were increased after it was made. As far as I know they never actually told us what the increase was. (maybe someone can correct me on that)

Anyway whats nice about boosted gunners is you can take off more crew in order to make them lighter then you could unboosted gunners. That is before you start losing performance.

Spread normally gets better when your gunners are 2-3 levels away from your next ship's main guns.

So Colorado is normally 74-77, Sodak normally 88-89, Iowa around lvl 98.}

Seva, BB2 14" (Mark 7s), and NorCal's Mark 6 never get tight spread. They at best land all the shells in the size of a BB6. even with 120 gunners.
