It all depends on what you want to do with a new laptop, do you want to game on it or use it for school/work.

If you want to game on it then make sure you get one with a gamming video card in it, other wise you will burn it up with the newer games that have come out.

Primary Use (IE School, Work, Gaming)

Budget: Assume the $700 you just mentioned.

Highest end software intended for use, (Ie only the web browser, NF, Newest Video Games, AutoCAD, Virtualization Software, ect)

Are you going to use this normally as a replacement desktop (Would normally mean getting a larger display/laptop(Normal 14-17.5") or portable / literal lap use (Would normally be 10-15.5")(I.E. Traveling, lap on the couch ect.)

Do you plan to store data on the laptop (In terms of large volumes or minimal data stored)

Any personal preferences? (Brands: ASUS, Lenovo, Dell, Alienware, HP, Acer, Samsung)(Processor: AMD, Intel)(Graphics: Latest and Greats from AMD or Nvidia, Mid tier AMD, Nvidia, Low end AMD, Intel Intergrated, Nvidia)

Do you plan to play or Burn Blueray or DVDs on a laptop now or in the near 3 year future?

1. Mainly for gaming purposes, less use for work. 2. Yup $700 can push little more. 3. Not much for high end, but NF gaming mostly. 4. Eigther both will do. 5. Storage i will use seperate data ( external HD ) eg. Music, work. 6. No idea for brands, dedicated graphics minimum 1 gb. 7. Maybe in the near future. Thanks!!!
