KM trades firepower for range. At H39 level this is significant as the range between it and other BB4s is measureable. The range difference between H44 and other BB5s, though, leaves something to be desired. Oh, it can still be done, but the almost insignificant millimiter (at full zoom-in) that they outrange by is largely only useable when trying to fire for outside-spread shots (that is, hoping a shell or two goes beyond your hitbox). I'd only like to see this range difference doubled (from 1 to 2 mm?). Playing on that hairy edge of having to follow an enemies every movement to stay in range whilst knowing that if they turn into you they can sink you in 2 salvos gets old. That being said, I'll still love the KM line because it keeps me on my toes.
But, to the post..no, KM doesn't need more firepower. They just need a (small) way to use their firepower more effectively.
