  • lag, freezes, and other types of problems that stall your game play.

Ok Im going to say this in the plainest english I can so there is no misunderstanding....YOUR NEW PATCH IS FLAWWED...

Now normally there is always gonna be some lag, thats just the way it works in these games, the more info that must be updated  the  more something can get snafu'd

Now with that said. Previous to this patch I was actually not getting any lag. Now Im lagging so bad that its almost unplayable.

Nothing has changed on this computer nore on the 5 other computers with different bandwidth isp's......all got the same lag issue..

comp1 amd turionx2 2.2ghz 3 gig ddr3 nvidia 8800m 10 med cable line
comp2 amd phenon II x6 1055 2.8ghz 6 core processor 8 gigs ddr3 ati 6550 gpu 40 meg cable line
comp3 I7 quad core 8 gigs ddr3 nvidia 250gt 20 meg cable line.
comp4 i3 tripple core 6 gig ddr3 nvidia 250 gt 40 meg fios line.

Now before I get all this well its still in the same network. Comp one is mine. Comp2 is 40 miles away from me comp 3 is near me and comp 4 is 186 miles...
All had the same issue that I and seems like everyone else is getting. I ran my own test as to packet loss and noticed the drops were not from my end but the server was not returning  information and has to resync

guess what its massive lag. Now these issues have only show up since the new patch so ummm...It doesnt take the orange county sherrifs to figure out that the main cause would be the patch...

Team nf members I know you must follow policy and say things as you do as to not cause issues with the company, but
really think you may have to come up with better answers.....

Side not friend of mine out in cali says he has same issues, AND HE IS CLOSER TO THE MAIN SERVER THEN I AM....

So ummmmmm how about adding game stability to the sn/mm patch

I'm sure they are well aware about this considering over 20 people posted threads like yours within 24 hours of the patch coming out. All we can do is wait and see. This is a suggestion more than a Technical Support Issue. Since your suggesting a stability patch, something no one from Tech can just fix for you.

ok back up your claims, you see just ranting gets you nowhere.

wow tote the company line...interestingly enough I found part of the problem....And its software....The issue deals with win7/ vista systems having to run in win 98 compatibility mode. The lag actually increases under this...Now runnig it under win 7 normal plays like a dream but game freeze and crashes in the lobby.....Again didnt happen until this patch and I only use this system to play the game......now How can I post the pathping bs since when you run cmd you cant copy paste.........

So low and behold it was a user issue, and its not the company line its common sense.

As others have heard me say, as long as the game is working for many then they issue is usually
a connection or setup issue. I am not saying the patch didn't have issues, quite the contrary I agree
it did and that it could/should have not happened.
But it did and we adjusted as a community and we go on. Its how we identify the solutions and apply them
that is what sets us apart from others.

So theoretically speaking.. if a patch messes up, and you lose player base, it's not worth backtracking and rebuilding that patch correctly?

surely it isn't that hard to debug the latest patch and make a hot fix, too much focus and time is being put into balancing MN and SN and silly text descriptions for trade.. etc when the bigger problem that should be addressed first is a bug in the coding.

I do agree though, the balance issues are a pretty big deal and have been ongoing for sometime now.. they need addressed.

BTW, every time I crash and I mean 99% of the time, or just stop the game for a while, later when I restart the launcher it fails to detect the VC file.. every time I have to unzip a backup I made into the directory, and reboot just to play this game..

Realistically no it isnt as those that leave are gone, and a Hot fix is faster than rolling back a patch.
I have seen the effects of reversing a bad patch and many time its far worse and leaving everyone
to reinstall the game.

I dont have a clue about the Work schedule for patch and what goes into it. I can only work with what is out
there and make the best of it.

Oh and I have never heard of the issue you are having with the VC file
