  • KM BB and CV(aircrafs) line Comparision

hi to all

im new to this game, and since im always have like KM SS im decided to go for the on my fist playtrough sorryly, im made some mistakes and was very close to failing and having to restart everything, thankfully im got some help from a friend how rencomended to go for KM BB line along with the sub, since that im have made some research but most of information im have found is a little bit old so im would like to know:


what is the comparision (advantages and disvantages too) of the KM BB line ( especially the BB6 Kaiser) and the others nations BB?

im have in a lots of posts that compare to the others BB the BB5 and BB6 (H44 and Kaiser) are bad choices (mostly for newbies) so

im would like to know if this is true and which tatics are good for exploitng the advantages while dealing with the weakneses?  

and since im considering getting a CV (athought im dont know still which nation from US,IJN or KM) :

im would like to know how are the FT,DB and TP against the other nations planes? and is there any special way to clases them?

the hard mode in km bb start at bb4, due to less damage and less durable ship but excels in range...

 

yep its true its not for newbies, you should know how to slingshot or any style you want to avoid damage and hit the enemy the same time

 

KM have the best AA in the game so training aa gunners is a must for km

 

the Kaiser (km bb6) really sucks at GB but nice to play at HA, BB room, FL and W@W(my Point of view [insane aa + rapid firing main guns :D] )

 

as of CV i got no Idea, but KM was the king in FPs in the past until a plane patch or something making US  FP over OP and KM T4s have less fuel...

KM BBs have more range and lower angle than most (altho the BB6 has an "average" angle of 40 deg).
This means that in theory they can keep hitting enemies without being hit back... but usually they just get rushed and die.



KM CV and aircraft:

+ Strongest hitting fighters in the game (on par with USN)
+ Nice R slot placement for guns on most ships
+ CVs can use 11" singles


- Low planespace on CVs (less aircraft availble per game)
- All aircraft have less fuel than other nations (KM DBs being hit the hardest)
- Low TB damage and less than average DB damage
- Fighters are somewhat slow

tl;dr
Forget about KM and go RN for BB or USN for CV.

In fact the KM BB5 and 6 are the best ships of thier tiers in the right hands.
 
KM BBs perform best when you push with them (as long as there is no higher tier ship).
-Try to push the enemy battleline but stay at max range.
-Slingshot, slingshot and did i say slingshot?
-If someone rushes a bit close, counterrush.
-Use your AA, its amazing but your are no AA ship, remeber that. 
-angels are lower than average, so aiming is pretty easy.
-Dont desperate as at lvl spread is tricky, but high lvl gunners give you a really tight spread allowing full hits.
-dont hasitate to switch to AP as soon as you see a slow ship
-thus keep an eye on enemy ship speeds


The fact that many say KM ships are underpowered is that they demand a lot of training to perform good. But as soon as you manage that they get better then any other ship.
Sure its still personal reference but I can say that i played all BB5s a lot and 5 of the BB6s, still KM is the best in my eyes.

+1 to Niborger remarks. I would also like to add a couple of things:

1) Speed + OH is a must for your KM BBs, so get good engineers, they will be very helpful for your sub also, and do not armor the BBs. 0.2 belt + bulge (without losing speed) is all you need. I won't make more comments about this because there are a lot of threads explaining in detail this issues.

2) Try to level up your AA gunners at the same time that you train all the other crew sailors, so you won't have problems later when you have a lvl 120 BO/Gunners, lvl 115 support and lvl 80 AA gunners, not being able to take our your kaiser properly aa equipped.

3) Now to the sub stuff: Take into consideration that, besides the Engineers, Sonarman and Planesman, you can put more support in the R slot or slots of your sub. At low levels a Restorer with good Rep ability can help you to reach 900 SD and have a decent repair rate, but you may also try -as many km sub players do also- to have a repairer with a good restorer stat.

thanx for the help. a couple question then: what is the KM BB performance against others nations BB ( i have heard that they cant sink other ships without help)? what does the KM Fp having low fuel imply ( i know this is a little bit stupid)? how is the KM Fp performance against other planes (fighters and bombers)?

two question thought:

can u explain or show me a good guide to slingshot?

im understand the basic , but the metod not much :(

how is the KM against other nations ships (mainly BB)?

im just asking im hear that they are bad agaisnt all the nations

I can't rember Whare to find a good guide for slingshoting [thare was one on the old form...don't know whare it is on this one] but the basics are using your front guns turn towards the enemy, click behind you and when your tail swings out fire rear guns.

as far as thare BB's vs outher nations the bb 1,4 and 5 can be difficualt to kill rushers etc... especuly whith at lv crew and a bad driver [me the first time] but once your gunners lv up and you start to play right thay are amasing. 

Shure it may be a little harder to play but onece you get the hang of it thares nothing better, you will never have the same salvo fire power  [except for bb 3's] but the fact you can hit them 2ce before thay can get you helps lots.

[note's-I don't have a kaiser, and since there BB 5's dmg buff its soooo much easyer to kill stuff some of those "its so hard to kill stuff" was written before it got epic]
