Instead of nerfing the insanely stupid xp in GB....why dont we buff the other rooms xp to match GB?

This way players have some incentive to play the other game modes while obtaining massive exp.

This is the only solution that makes sense....

Nerf GB exp=playerbase shrinks even further
Eliminate all shared EXP(I favor this option)=playerbase shrinks even further

BUFF other room types exp to give variety to the game to break up the maddening grind=the best option. While a player might suck in GBs, they can still possibly roflpwn night battles.....or maybe even op convoy.....

If all rooms types except W@W and nomral rooms awarded the same exp across the board it would give the average player variety, which believe it or not isnt a bad thing....

As a veteran player and royal pain in the ass to some extent I propose these changes be made asap

I was thinking about the exp and my thoughts were:

Make GB a basically non shared exp room, I would have a min fixed nominal figure for example if you lose in a bb you get 5k if you win in a bb you get 10k with anything additional contibuted from your attack (something similar for other class). There is no limit on what can enter like it currently is.

Then I would change skirmish into a GB format but move the limit to lvl99 (allowing at level bb4 and below). This would be shared exp like gb now.

Hopefully the new GB would be good for bb5s, good players and those with high lvl crews, skirmish would be a place to learn and get your shared exp. There would then be WAW as a place for 100+.

See this is the reason nothing ever gets done, pick one dam thing to fix you have to remember this is SDE not some expert gaming company so with that being said remember SDE takes it slow and will take half a year to implement whatever the hell they are gonna fix..

You guys should be asking SDE why it takes forever to fix something i still have not seen that answer...

"quote b/c we are a small company with limited resources....you guys arent buying enough prem"-yuno

Ok so it was exaggerated a tiny bit but i think it drives the point across...

Its not hard for them to up the EXP with game modes if they are able to change caps on a whim....or throw an increased exp event every other weekend thereby interfering with HAs.....

I am simply asking for a little diversity instead of the same old GB after GB and W@W on event days.....

I mean seriously the NB and Opcon rooms are great game modes....nobody plays them b/c it isnt as rewarding as GB in terms of EXP....

We can rest assured that shared exp is here to stay regardless if we like it or not.....

Since we cant get what we want lets try a different method and compromise....

There is absolutely no reason GB should be the only game mode played. end of story

Adjusting EXP rates is not one of the Test Team's duties cabal90.

EXP rate at the current time are all 2 to 10 times higher than in 2006.

This causes and influx in unexperianced BB Players (1000 games of experiance vs 150//200).

This making more players who have no clue what they are doing.

This pisses off the experianced players watching people screw up and lose them games.

Thus making them quit.

This then makes new players see less players and less likely to stick to the game.

This is how Shared EXP is destroying the game.

Tick, tock, tick, tock....

NOrm you make very valid points.....however, the thing that is driving players away from the game more than anything is the maddening grind.....a lot of people didnt know there were other game modes than blitz and GB......

If the other rooms were buffed, it would give diversity to the average player and break the grind up significantly

You act as if the exp is just awful.  It really isn't.  If I can grind from LVL1-120 in a week and a half, anybody, not matter on skill level with the right guidance could do it in a month.  A month is nothing, compared to back when it would take 6 months or more.

Not everyone is a teenage kid with a lot of time on their hands. Most people can only afford to play 3-4 games a day.........

This isnt a thread bringing attention to the exp system....its a thread about giving the players variety to break the grind up.

This game isnt all about grinding....its about having fun....and having more than 1 rewarding game mode would bring some of that fun back....

Grinds taking time are what makes level based games work.

If it takes a week to hit the highest level, and you only need to put 3 hours a day in (21 hours) To hit 120.

Compared to the months of have to actually learn how to play. Where the only way to level up was to figure out how to use the ship you were in.

That is how level based games work. If you level to fast, you destroy the game.

The proper setup for a level based game should be 0 to max in 1 year, @ 2 hours per day with a 50% win/success rate.

The EXP rate around November 07 was the closest to this point we ever achieved...

Now consider players who are sick of grinding but want to finish up an existing crew. Me.

Do you think I enjoy wasting my time in an at level BB3 getting pitiful attack for a low amount of exp?

Oh I can definitely get some more by tryharding it. But I just don't feel like it. I'm only grinding that crew for 2 hours max because of how dull and unsatisfying it is. That is with prem, 30% item, and event bonus.

Is there anything to learn at all from being an at level BB123? Because this is such a huge argument from the pro-exp nerfs. Is there something good in having long reload? Bad spread? Inability to take a hit? Low speed? No.

People don't quit cause other people suck. They quit because of lack of variety. GB being the only thing to play will quickly kill interest in the game. If you want to punish those who actually do know how to play, like me, but is handicapped because of crew level then all I can say is; fuck you.
