I have never had a CV crew but from what I know you need 6FP's and 2 DB/TB'S 2 gunners and a seaman. I want to have a more DB based CV crew so i can annoy the crap outta people. Would it be a bad decision to do 5FP's and 3 DB's or 4FP's and 4 DB's.

Right now I have a okay setup:

Fighters stat:  +11
Bombers stat: +12
BO: +14
Gunners: both 10/11 
Seaman: +13 potential, +11 fighter/bomber

Can I have  a 5fp/3db or 4fp/4db setup, or would that just be stupid. btw I'm going IJN.

if you're going IJN you might as well have 2-4 Fighters 2 if your BW and 4 if you wanna have a balanced set up.

2Fighter 6 Bomber set up will do you just fine.
Bombers should prolly have 11+ base B/V/E'd just enough to be aaw resistant and your two fighters should deff be Elites or possibly 12+ kept as Fighter pilot with 180+ Vets. Full B/V/E too.

Since you only have two fighters, you might as well make them as good as they can be for those situations where a 120 Tico is being a dick  and FT camping you

IJN fighters can be a beast, everybody hates them, but i have faced some few players that can rule the air with their IJN PCV... even above my 200 vet US FTRs...

but to get there you have to use elite fighters and overvet the hell outta them. so its no cheap way to get there.

a balanced mix for IJN would be 5 ftrs 2 db and 1 tb, since IJN do fair well in every bomber aspect and their fighters (while crappy on normal instance) can become quite badass.

But most of the people go IJN CV for BW setup. in that case 6db and 2 ftrs its the balanced way to go. Don't forget to get a seaman (the ideal stats for this would be +12fighter+11bomber but a +12+10 should do fine)

don't forget your gunners and one engy (or restorer, if you like it) and there u have the full IJN CV crew
