The newest pope is a Jesuit and from the strong-arm section of catholicism, ...... it would be nice to see him clean up the mess that has festered in the US. 

I do not believe those US priests are heaven sent yet Pope Francis has the opportunity to make an example to all the world how those US priests will be received for their un-natural desires.

Only thing that I can never understand is why people see the pope as better than everyone else. He's just a man and nothing more.

Yet he is the Head of the Catholic Church worldwide. I also think he has a sense of humor too.

My question still stands. What makes him a better person than you or me? Is it because he is the Pope? Or is it because he has helped more people than you or I have? Maybe because he has a sense of humor he is better than I am? Give me a reason on why he is better than every other single person in the world. And no, being the Head of the Catholic Church worldwide with a sense of humor doesn't really cut it for me.

I'm not going to get into a debate about the personal things about His Holiness, no man is better than another, and he has fallen aswell. He can make the same mistakes we can, and nothing makes him a "superior" person. However, nobody can explain how, or why this man managed to be elected Pope. "Our Lord works in mysterious ways."

No ponies this time. Dead serious.
