yes it does. all auto FCS have a penelty of 25% 0r 30%, not sure of the exact number.

 

maybe some one can enlighten us on the exact %

Yes, Auto applies a 20% exp penalty to any ship it is used on.

in fact there should be no such penalty, since the accuracy, the spread, the range, the gun alignment, and in some instances the movements of the turrets or launchers are de facto adversely affected by using auto aim.

at least, new players should receive the adequate information before choosing one option or the other (in particular as the guide itself recommends to use auto at first.).

Game guide is terrible.

 

Auto FCS has a 20% exp penalty, I assure you. Manual, Finder and SS FCSs do not.

 Unfortunately, lots of people are allowed to tweak the game settings at will. The game guide is outdated on that aspect alone.

I do agree that there should be NO experience point penalty with an already nerfed firing control system. However, due to the fact that numerous people influence game settings, what works one way today may work differently tomorrow.

The integrity of this game has been destroyed quite obviously. I just play NF to kill time for the most part yet have observed serious flaws in this game since I created a character back in October 2012.

Hell of a deal to be sure.
