Was at a rocket competition in the past few days in Green River, UT.

Took some pictures of the competition:

 

This one worked well I believe:

 

This one's parachute didn't deploy I believe, aka "went ballistic".

 

Almost perfect, but the wind blew the rocket+parachute a few miles away, never found again.

All hybrids used either HTPB or Paraffin-Aluminum mix with a liquid Nitrous Oxide oxidizer in the competition. (which was 3 out of the ~17 rockets...)

Rest of them used either a custom or commercial solid motor.
