Hey there,
I just recently got the asus xonar dg card and I'm having a bit of trouble hearing all the sounds in games. Eg. The sound when I leave harbour, the sound  after the harbour list comes down and stuff like that. any suggestions on how I can fix this? the sounds are there but it is not audible  at all unless I put my ear against the speakers.

You might check and see if there are custom configurations available for specific applications.
Like what you can do for 3D gaming and Video cards.

The sound system for this game is very simple and your card may be overdoing it like making it 3D and
positional

there really isn't that many options in the program that came with the drivers. I don't see anything about 3D games except for voiceEX and local voiceEX (no idea what that is)

I currently have audio channel set to 2 channels
sample rate pcm 44.1khz
analog out 5.1 speakers

Try setting it to 2.1 speakers or headphones and see if that helps
