As I learned from this game, Manual FCS is too clumsy to be useful with most weapons, especially at close range where rate of fire is very important.

One category of weapons however is almost totally unusable with automatic FCS. AA guns and AA ammunition weapons require manual control to use effectively. you need to be able to adjust the height and turn weapons at precise directions.
=================
There should be Hybrid/semi-automatic FCS to control AA guns and AA ammunition weapons manually, and the rest of a players' weapons more automatically.

To be specific it would be Automatic FCS that when you use the PRECISE CONTROL(default "SHIFT") to toggle between Automatic and manual FCS.

==============================

Option A allow FCS to toggle between Manual and Automatic Configuration mid-game

Option B, allow AA weapons and ammunition to be controlled by manul aiming while other weapons are automatic FCS.

 Option C allows you to use Automatic FCS, but make the precise actions only manual FCS can do, such as switching from front or back weapons, altering weapon height. For example the W key will raise the weapon height, Z will activate frontal weapons.

Not enough details.

You need to describe how this would function. (Also Shift already does something. changing an 8 year old control is not recommended.)

I dont know why Automatic and Manual FCS are separated in the first place. As I stated in my opening post it seems mainly AA weapon control. AA control with automatic FCS almost unusable.

This isn't the kind of thing tthat will get fixed, I have use auto because I'm more than half blind. The only choice you have is pick a nation/stratagy/build that dosen't requie AA guns at all.

Every single BB in the game is quite usable without AA. Heck to the hundreds of players who can't even hit planes at default height, there is no point for them to be running AA on their H44s, SYs ect.

Manual aiming is actually the best way to play any gun in the game. Just takes practice, like the controls of any other video game.

However, I'm sorry but no game can cater to every individual's disabilities. Learning to adapt is something you have had to apply elsewhere that it appears you'll need to apply here as well. There is a number of individuals who have arm/hand injuries that have adapted play styles to work around their disabilities. I suggest having a chat with a few of them as they may be able to help you a bit.

I will say however, if you can AA, how can't you aim a ship. Its is quite litterally the same concept, except on a 2D plane isn't of a virtual 3D space. AA is actually fundimentally harder than normal gun control.

Please dont argue the merits of keeping Manual and Automatic FCS separate.

Why not actually improve upon my ideas instead of saying theyre wrong?

Because theyre wrong...

Think about it. Auto is to help keep you from having to learn it all at once. No other game really uses the same style of movement system. Click a point and then control how fast you go there? Nothing that i can think of. Then theres the other subsystems of the game such as armors, ship types, planes, etc. Auto FCS knocks something out of the immediate learning curve because it can be useful up to CA level. At that point (and usually before) you know the basics and you move on to the manual FCS. Then you can become more proficient with that and start using things like hangtime and convergence to your advantage.

Please dont argue the merits of combining Manual and Auto FCS.

P.S. Manual, by the way, is NOT too clumsy to use with most weapons. You can make a small argument for HH but thats about it. Besides, auto doesnt let you cross guns.

No one here has said no or wrong, or even denied your suggestion, before yourself mentioned it.

So where did you come up with that conclusion from the post above?
