You don't get it do you? What would be the basis of "a good amount of thought"? And who decides if the thought is "good"? Would this be an arbitrary decision made by the "experienced" members of the community, such that a new player might have an idea only to be told that he is an idiot and to try again later with "a good amount of thought"?
The idea of free speech is such that anyone with a thought in their head might voice that thought and be free to do so without harassment (shy of slander/libel).
The very idea of limiting what members of this community might give voice to has already been put in place enough, by mods who believe in "my way or the highway" forum moderation, and by members of the community who believe that only they should be posting because no one else has put in as many hours and years in this game as they have.
Is this suggesting that people only come up with one idea per day? Should they then simply keep a running list of their ideas and only post one per day from their sticky note by the keyboard?
Very often, the author of the suggestion might not know how best to implement the idea, but someone out in the community might. So they voice their idea, and the community fills it in for them.
This post is made likely because someone saw what they deemed to be a stupid idea, in their own opinion, and decided that only the aristocracy of the NF members should be making suggestions. Because certainly it would be they who determine what is or is not "a good amount of thought."
