Something similar to this was organized back in 1932:

I will also warn you, with the recent events in DC (Guy who burned himself to death and the women killed in the police chase) DC's Police force and nearby military units are on a raised level of alertness. Higher than that of the veterans march in 1932.

Just to clarify. The group I am going with does not have the intent to participate with violence in mind. We plan on taking a day and visiting any and all memorials we can. Should the government intervene we will attempt to stand our ground to make a statement. As veterans we are attempting to make a statement and exercise our rights as guranteed in the US constitution.

The day we stop exercising our rights is the day we lose them.

Not really a strong quote after looking at the laws passed in the last 12 years.

They can't just go and shoot a million military veterans for practicing free speech, might look bad to the 300 or so million Americans.

+1 norm

I'd be interested to know which kind of rights they are looking to exercise, and of course, what they mean by the phrase "exercise rights"...
