Well I see you have the game installed in the "Program Files" and on your system that is for
64 bit programs. NF does not install properly for 64bit O/S

The correct folder is the "Program Files (x86)" Normally I would suggest you reinstall into the
"Program Files (x86)" folder but not the way it has been going. That would be a last resort.

What compatibility setting are you using right now?

As for the compatibility, I have tried window xp (sp3) mode, not working. Now I am trying Window 98/Window me mode, I have checked the : Disable desktop composition,Disable visual theme, Run as administrator. Except (lag and freeze occur) when the DP gun (shower of bullets) attack if I am not mistaken , this mode works for me.

OK for Win 7 no setting should be used for the run as mode, un-check that
once you do that try both the visual theme and desktop compression checked and unchecked

Thank you BBR_InsUW . As per your advice, I've now selected the Window 98/Window Me mode for the compatibility, and leave everything unchecked. I've played on this setting for two days , so far so good. I cannot tell if the lag and freeze problem will occur again because I have not been encounter attacked by the DP Gun (shower of bullets) so far. Hope this setting solved my problem since the new patch 1324.
