  • How to get christmas themed music (or your custom music)

TG_Salihreis

Hello fellow captains,

You can get the old christmas/new year themed EULA / Log in screen music by yourself. (It's a variant of Jingle Bells)

Navyfield's in-game music files are located under:

C:\Program Files\SD EnterNET\NavyFIELD\SOUND (Windows XP 32 Bit, maybe 64 bit systems or newer OS are different with C:\Program Files\ part.)

1. Run the game and turn on music by F10/settings
2. Close the game.
3. Get to your Sound folder, as in the adress/path shown above.
4. Make a backup of "BM005.cxf", like renaming it "BM005.cxf backup"
5. Then make a copy of EVNT.cxf, then rename this copy (not the original EVNT.cfx !!!) BM005.cxf
6. Run the game, enjoy the christmas theme on EULA / Log in screen.

To use your own custom musics in navyfield, you can replace the original sound files. Files shall be MPEG Audio Layer 3 44100Hz 192Kbps or 128kbps, stereo. The list is below.

BM001.cxf
BM002.cxf = Battle channel (out of harbour)
BM003.cxf
BM004.cxf = Result theme (lost)
BM005.cxf = NF theme (EULA / Log-in screen)
**BM006.cxf = this file does not exist**
BM007.cxf = Korea (BUSAN) port theme
BM008.cxf= Result theme (won)
EVNT.cxf = Christmas / New Year theme
GMN.cxf = Germany port theme
JPN.cxf = Japan port theme
US.cxf = USA port theme
UK.cxf = UK port theme
ITALY.cxf = Italy port theme
Soviet.cxf = USSR port theme
Losing.cxf = During battle (team losing)
Winning.cxf = During battle (team winning)

After making backup of these files, possible by creating a BACKUP folder under SOUND\ and copying all of them to there, you can change all them. Remember, new mp3 files must to have the cxf extension, mp3 extension does not work. If you don't know how to change a file's extension, don't bother messing with the music files before learning how to change file extensions.

Good luck and good night everyone.

As soon as I'm back from my emergency trip to the middle of nowhere, I'll re-release the bat file for switching between the Christmas Theme and normal theme.

Edit: Hmm, I can't seem to find it. Strange cause I remember using it last year.
