  • Valiant EBB guns?

Picked up one of these babies from the winter event, but it's left me scratching my head. It can clearly mount trip 16" (mk1/2) and quad 14", or even some double 15"s, but which is the appropriate gunset? So far I've been very disappointed in the UK's range, so I was also looking at which would give me the most of that. Probably going to need it, too, because it looks like the Valiant isn't going to be very quick.

the mk3 15'' L would give you most range, and is the intended gunset for the valiant and the hood EBBS. It has good angle, and ok damage. If you want to use the 16''s, use the Mk 1 instead of Mk2, as Mk1 has more range (slightly less than 15''). 14'' quad L would also work (same range as 16'' Mk1), but they're a lot heavier. So you sacrifice speed for firepower. there's no "correct" setup, just how you want to play.

Thanks! I'm going to spend the next few days testing to see about the extra range (or just cheese it with quad 14"). How's the 16" mk1 L?

16'' mk1 L has same range as the quad 14''L. And since they have same angle as well, you could actually mix the gunsets, mainly because they are a bit lighter as well. The only difference is reload time, so if you do mix them, your salvos would be a bit uneven.

Another advantage of the 15'' Mk3 L is that it has a bit tighter spread. Both the 16'' Mk1 and 14 quad L have spread issues. (as with most bb3 guns).

I have quite a bit of fun with the 14" Ds Block shotting anything unfortunate enough to get in range. 16 rounds of laser canon doesn't leave much standing.

15" markIII N guns have the same range as the L's and better reload and lighter. i used these until 16" mark I guns here is a image i save to HD a while back. puts UK bb range into perspective (btw this isnt mine or my research)

I think you are wrong about reload and weight of 15'' Mk3N vs. L. Consulting the data on this site, you can see that both gunsets weigh the same, and the L version has 1 sec faster reload. They do have same range, though.

And I'm not sure if the range chart you cite is up to date.

I have ground through the uk line a few times now that was set up that worked for me. Range I have tested so its accurate to current guns. What ever works for your style is the end answer. You will see just trying to save you some time. My opinion of course :) well and a few others.
