  • Won't Connect to Update Server

Hi, everyone. Used to play this game a long time ago, and I've been needing to get a naval fix recently.

To get to the problem, the game seems to hate me. Using the normal client, I can't even connect to the update server. I could leave it up for hours, but it would still say "Connecting to the update server. Try 1". Using the Test Server allows me to update and open up the main menu, but when I click the fields to input and password, it just won't let me. As if they're not actually elements of the menu, but just visual elements.

Really would love some help here, I've been dying to play this game again!

Also, forgot to mention that I've done all the recommended connection problem fixes. All my ports are opened up, exception in the firewall, compatibility mode, DEP and such and so on.

is the NF client your using is the one you use long time ago or fresh install? 

try downloading a fresh new client and uninstall the your current one (use ccleaner program) and also download manual patch...

I'm using a different computer than the one I had used previously, and it's a fresh install of both the test client and the normal ENFUNS updater.

hmmm i did miss some points on your post.... did you happen to put the nf test client on the same folder as the game client ? cause thats 1 possibility of your problem... and you can't use your accnt on the test server (they use test1 to test250 (test1 to test 50 accounts are reserved and the pass for all this accnts is iwanttotest, just check on the test server discussion area for more details if you want to join the test team)

So sorry for the late reply. I have the test server folder in the same folder as the normal game folder, and the problem is that I can't even SELECT the username and password fields. It's as if they aren't even there. Even if I wanted to enter, say, "test1" and "iwanttotest", I couldn't.

the test client should be unpack on different folder...

and test1 to test50 accounts are reserved for the test team... test 51 above is for the players who want to help or test some new content of the game...
