  • Stand alone client availible that is not server dependent?

Doodoohead

IS there a stand alone client availible that is not server dependent? I often wish i could get my hands on one just for the sake of doing missions and configuring my ships and sailors, not to mention when the log in server is broke and all i whant to do is admire my nice ships carrying out sorties, i know it would be useless for exp or creds but i really dont care... I do love this game as ive been playing it for almost 8 years now. Thanks in advance :)

Technically it's possible, but AFAIK there is none atm... People run custom NF servers with hamachi vpn and some IP forwarding...

I remember there was a China based private server, it's not online anymore but its info is still around.

 

I think it goes like this:

1. Get your hands on a NF server,

2. Create a VPN with hamachi or such,

3. People should connect to your VPN,

4. People should do some IP/port forwarding,

 

Then here you go!

 

These steps could be used to get a stand alone experience (kind of...)
