During a quick "Split 'n Go", the players on the Bravo side will be assigned to their spot based upon a set code that arranges them according to a hierarchy. The first row is always BBs, with the most senior BBs in row 1. All other lower level ships will follow below and be arranged exactly the same way every split.
With a 10 second countdown, several Bravo BBs will invariably fail to move out of their assigned position and take defensive positions south, resulting in a slow-to-defend position that gives Alpha BBs who had already staked their southerly position a strong advantage.
Can you do two things:
1) Provide GB1 the same "blind" cover after the split for both Alpha and Bravo sides that GB2 has? This will provide some defensive cover and remove an undeserved advantage .
2) Randomize the split forces on Bravo side or pre-arrange the hierarchy into two subsets, north and south.
3) Extend the countdown to 15 seconds (I don't like this one). Which would allow more movement of ships before start.
Bravo has to overcome this disadvantage that occurs with great frequency.
