Greetings to all,

How come i crash when a plane comes down to torp me?

How come i crash when someone msges me? How come i crash when siren goes off when a torp is near? How come i crash sitting in room? How come i crash when i move my chair?

I am a server admin for the largest auto company in the world. If i admin the servers as SDE does theres i would be out of a job. I like the game do not get me wrong. But this crashing is not on my end. Before you add more features can you have the Devs make the game more stable??

Parts of the code need to be updated in order to run reliable on newer windows. I know it is a teatus project but i think it would pay off in the end. NF is a awsome concept. Just needs to be updated more inline with the updated features of windows.

I would spend $$ in game if it did not crash so much. SDE is losing alot of money they could be making if they just made the game more stable. Wish i could look over the code.

If you need help please contact me. I know C++, C#, amongist other programing languages.

I have very good refrences from billion dollar companies.

 Thank you,

Jim

I don't think they have the source code - that's the problem.

Try turning off most of the sound options and setting your sound to "Original". If you look at the NavyField.RPT file in the Navyfield folder(open in notepad), you'll see main.dll crashing and throwing Exception code: C0000005. The relationship between main.dll and the sound driver has been a problem for over a year now, although I believe people smarter than I have not found out how to fix the problem by re-working their DLL file. If you look in Application Event Logs in your Management Console, you'll see some app crash messages that look like this-

Faulting application name: NavyFIELD.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x4e79780f
Faulting module name: Main.dll, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x532a465c
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00057030
Faulting process id: 0x2efc
Faulting application start time: 0x01cf488d4d090b6d
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\SD EnterNET\NavyFIELD\NavyFIELD.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\SD EnterNET\NavyFIELD\Main.dll
Report Id: de1a1410-b498-11e3-8c1d-002556d088f4

Notice the Main.DLL taking a dump on your playing time? yea, now you get the picture

Give the sound options a whirl.. it will probably help minimize your crashing problem, make your options look more like what I have mine set to. Hit F10 to open the options screen. Other than that.. Welcome to NavyField
