  • 1366 x 768 resolution. when ?

we will see resolution 1366x768 ? is for notebook 15.6" and usually for any lcd tv 80-81 cm (32")

the full screen 1024x768 into notebook  (without black vertical borders) is not just totally unrealistic and give huge difference between vertical and horizontal shots - at the same distance / gun elevation - , but also zoom out is much less like with black borders.

i speak about because i install one software on my notebook and form that moment (including after i uninstall that softaware) nf game run just in 1024x768 and i still don't find a way to set back to that "1366x768 "with vertical black borders.

unfortunately this will not come, NF have fixed resolution, and i don't know if they can even put a resolution changing option right now

Not sure what you're asking for. I too have a 15.6" laptop and when i set it to 1366x768 on display, it stretches out Navyfield to fit the entire monitor which looks fugly. If I set it to 1360x768 and keep aspect ratio, then Navyfield is centered with the vertical black bars on the side.

They could, however since it wasn't originally designed to display multiple resolutions and the sprites are placed based on center of where that sprite needs to placed. It involves either

A: manual code lines for sprite positions of all GUI elements for each individual resolution.

Or B: Changing how the GUI is placed so larger objects are placed via an image corner (Like a decent number of games) and other objects such as numbers are placed via a formula compared to resolution width and height.

Aka, lots of work and zero motivation to do so.

To the OP:

To run NavyField in 4:3 on 16:9 and 16:10 displays,

You must access you Graphics Control Center from AMD, Intel or Nvidia; Find the setting for GPU scaling and set it to "Maintain Aspect Ratio" for the respected display.

AMD (Note this display goes through an HDMI to DVI converter so GPU Scaling isn't possible on it. My 5:4 display I run NF on is in the only DVI slot (With a DVI to VGA adaptor) this card has, the others 2 being on HDMI to DVI and DP to DVI adaptors.):

Intel: (I only have an Intel 3000 Graphics Card, should be similar with the 4000s, not 100% sure.)

Nvidia: (Note, I just upgaded this older PC to Windows 7 from XP, This is a older GTX 7000 Onboard Chipset. Thus the Graphics Control Center might be different on newer cards.)

NOTE: The Override Checkbox is not needed. However can be useful some older games that refuse to maintain Aspect Ratio on newer graphic card and display technologies.

And yes, I push my old CRT displays to their maximum Frequencies and Resolutions instead of their natives. I have 19 of them.
