  • HH team damage limit to xp penalty

When an enemy ss appears on the bb line and your the only one with HH you shoot at it.  even if the damage to your friendly bb is negligable i've seen so little xp afterward. 

 

In a game where our team atk was over 1mill in GB and my atk was 128k, i received 7k xp because of this.  My HH was all in the water near a friendly bb.  Damage couldn't be much, ive seen (almost) no damage to a surfaced sub when all hh are right on it. 

 

My suggestion is to put a threshold on the damage before it creates a penalty.  Obviously if your TKing with HH, or cross shooting with it on accident, there should be a penalty but that would mean there would be much more damage to the friendly ship.

If you had no penalty for your lousy shot you wouldn't try to learn how to aim a little better next time.

how about more exp reduction, maybe to zero, for shooting your own team. no matter how much damage.

maybe after about 3 times of being a total idiot, shooting your own team, you get banned from the game.

they are on your team why do you think its ok to shoot them?

because letting a high tier ss rape your flank is hardly a better alternative?

people usually dont even mind being (direct and/or indirectly) hit by HH aimed at a sub, as long as it's not a full blockshot of PHH right into your ship.

thank you Flaggelant, you understand what i'm saying.  

 

Sorry ultra dog and billme, but you missed the point.  Its not me shooting at my team mate, its me shooting a sub who is trying to sink my teammate.  

 

even if i don't hit him directly, the radius of the hh damage causes a penatly, even though i just saved his ass from a sub.

 

When you read, try to understand the words together- its so easy, even a caveman can do it.

Apparently you missed the point.  So obvious even a cave man could see it.  The urgency of sinking the sub is irrelevent to the discussion.


Although you assert that the spread of the HH and the resultant splash damage caused by a friendly ship resulted in your loss of XP,  that is exactly the way is works and SHOULD work. 

The issue is that your HH spread is too great for the drop point and resulted in friendly ships being damaged.  Do you want to be able to spray HH anywhere, anytime without consequence or penalty?  That defies good game logic and would result in HH sprayed willy-nilly everywhere a torpedo is identified.  Should my torpedoes only sink enemy ships and dud harmlessly off my team's ships?  Should HE shells miss the CV and hit the crazy DD that's circling it?  Maybe we can get AA to only shoot enemy planes too.

If the sailor (gunner) is of high enough level, the spread is tight and focused.  Try to up-level your sailors; that might solve your problem.

Yes i guess i can see the advantage.   Should a sub be in a bunch of friendly ships you shouldn't be able to shoot near him without subsequent damage to the friendly ship and hence the penalty.
