I found shooting from left to right has more range than from right to left?

And shooting from down to up got more range than from up to down? Yes?

shooting from east to west/west to east (left to right/right to left) have no difference in range but south to north have range difference to ship shooting from north to south...

one thing to keep in mind is that if you are in a chase situation

due to the fact that the ships are traveling - even while shells are in the air for hang time

it will 'seem' to affect range in that
the running lead ship will appear to shoot farther
and the chasing rear ship will appear to shoot shorter

but this is due to relative ship and shell tavel .. not a factor of  raw range all by itself

At least one exception.


The South Dakota hull's turets are offset slightly the port. Thus has a few millimeters more range when firing to the port side regardlessly of direction.
