  • Crashing at rewards screen

It is really odd how this only happens to me while playing gbs.  Every 2 games like clock work i crash on the rewards screen.  It is really a pain to deal with as i have to reload my ammos and scouts when it crashes.  

This has never happened to me while playing world at war, blitz, skirmish, gb2, or occupation.   It only happens in normal great battles.  

Any ideas on how to solve this?

after running through all these bugs, i realized that a few files got corrupted due to the recent patches, however a full reinstall or at least reinstalling the patches will correct the issue, but it will not fix the common crashes you get every 5 or so hours.

I for myself have experienced those crashes too. Yet i noticed, they only happen when i leave the game minimized for quite some time and do other things and then play a game again. in most cases i will! crash on reward screen.

not sure if there really is a link between longer minimizing and reward screen crashes. but it heavily feels like there is :/

There is definitely a link between alt-tabbing (or minimising) and a higher probability of crashing.

Entering and leaving focus (What Alt-Tabbing does) is a common cause of crashing in Windows Applications, not just NavyField.


Changing focus in and out of fullscreen games should be avoided.

I typically never alt tab.  Eventually i will attempt the full reinstall as suggested earlier when i have some more time on my hands.
