  • Why Game go from 4 to 1 servers+how to fix

I have been playing this game on and off for well about 10 years, ive seen this game from 4 servers now down too one, idk if the devs and owner of the game care or not but its prety sad, they do NOTHING to actualy FIX the reasons why people are leaving and just do gimicky stuff like event ships and so on.


The problems are simple, TAKES TOO LONG TO LVL SAILORS, when u need over 1-2 mill per lvl and need several lvls to next tier ship and you average only about 20k-40k exp per battle of about 15 min takes way too long and ppl quit, not everyone can play 8+ hours/day on this game so they leave for other games. Also too reliant on CVs for vision and 99.9% of CVs players dont know how to play CV. 

Exp needs to be upped, Premium rewards need to be increased, from 40% to 60-75%, and a scaled reward of 1k from lvl 1-40, 2k from 40-60, 3k from 60-80, 4k from 80-100, and 5k from 100-120 bonus exp and credits. Also incresed base exp and credit gain from battles, should not take months to years to lvl to 120. Game could use a graphics update aswell.

The biggest market in gaming is the casual players, this game is currently tailored to the hard core  players and the results are from 4 servers down to one. If the devs/owners of Navufield dont care then sell the game because if Wolrd of Battleships is 1/4 of any good as WoT, Navyfield will be finished.

i heard that World of warships will be easy mod like battlestations midway....
but you are right, if there will be no changes NF is done

You dont have fun playing in your smaller BB's?

I dont think XP is the main reason why people left. sure some people did as it does take a while but with skill and events it is possible to grind a BB6 in less then a month.

I dont see much problem with Xp as long you dont sail a submarine or a FP/TB Cv.

 compare the xp before and right now (or when they decide make all free acct to gold acc instead of silver), its much easier and faster even without prem to level

Grinding is the entire point of level based MMOs...




If you can't handle it, then MMOs are probably not for you. It takes time and effort to achieve the best content.

This is true in any other F2P MMO... In a Pay to Win model, its time and effort, or lots and lots of disposable cash.

normpearii you dont know what ur talking about, ive been playing navyfield longer than you know it existed, ive played more MMos than brains cells you have left, maybe you should learn to read abit abd think before making moronic posts

1.) I started 2004, so I doubt you've been playing longer than I have. Considering the NFNA beta was only about 2 weeks old when I started on NFNA (As I was on vacation and missed a couple weeks. Considering I was interested in naval simulators around the time, I was monitoring websites for any naval games being released. I was quite aware of NF from pretty much a day or 2 after information on it started first appearing on the internet in English.


2.) I've been playing MMOs for more than a decade and have made a few simple games myself. I have been actively using the internet since 1995. I've watched MMOs go from being a pipe dream to a reality.


3.) The reason people have left this game is the poor management SDE has shown over the decade. Poor business decisions (Opening Nelson for example, broke the flow of new players on the older servers too early as they changed the default server to Nelson at the time.) Lack of bug testing and content control. Lack of community interaction between SDE and the NFNA community. Lack of a true dedicated English support team. Poor server service provider choices. The list just goes on and on. I mean, NFNA was hosted IN KOREA for quite awhile. Not to mention years of Korean IPs on servers in the United States after that to cause plenty of routing problems as well.


4.) It does not take too long to level sailors at all. 1 to 120 is quite doable with only 2 hours a day for ~30 days, which is quite fast for MMOs. Normal MMOs typically have an average of a 45-60 day grind for serious players with medium daily hours (2).


5.) If your going to arrogantly assume the experience of another person, at least have a clue before doing so. I've never hidden how long I've played this game.


6.) If I didn't have a clue how an MMO is suppose to work, SDE probably would not have accepted any patch request I've made over the years now would they?

I wonder how to lvl from 1 to 120 in only 6 hours.

I played for about 1.3 years with many events, to get a BB6 on my other account..

depend on how you play....

at lower level = aaing, mid level still aaing / playing bb, at 90s start playing bb4, 100+ play waw till 120

The dimunition of the player base is due to several factors, for which SDE has little, if any control.

1) PCs vs Game Consoles.  PCs are not the game engine of choice.  Playstation, Xbox have captured the market with their setups and as a result, the software industry (SDE's  competitors) have focused their attention on those game engines and much less on PCs.

2) Money.  The income generated with this business model is pennies and barely covers general operating expenses.

3) Network based multi-player games.  

There are dozens of variables, none of which are within SDE's control.   Your lag may not be caused by SDE, but because your network connection is being degraded.  Your home router may be sharing a wireless connection with some other device, (i.e. PC, Netflix, neighbor w' a smartphone, etc.) in your own home. Your PC may be running a virus check and consume your processor.  Your internet carrier could be throttling your bandwidth without your knowledge.  You have very little control of internal network reroutes or packet loss.

This is a packet-based network game. That means data packets are sent in a stream both from your PC to SDE's server and from that server to your PC.  The packets are not retransmitted if an error occurs. It could not operate in real time if packet retransmissions were requested....the result is lost/mangled packets.  When that occurs your graphics lose synch and refresh after new packets refresh your graphics.

4) Crashes.
Plain and simple, players can only handle so many crashes until they walk away.

5) Competition.
As stated in number 1, game consoles have run away with the gaming industry.  But even PC based games need to evolve or they will lose players to more entertaining options.


Due to the lack of continued improvements (we are still on Version 1); this game is simply dying for all the reasons and more I stated above.  


If you were a Sr. Vice President at SDE would you continue to invest in this old game?
