the Regina Margherita was a pre-dreadnought battleship equipped as its main guns 4 12inch gun separated into 2 turrets. I looked up ingame and the Navyfield site and see that the main gun space(170) is too small to mount the smallest 12inch twin barrel gun, 12"/46 Model 1909(168) with any ammunition(6 per bind). Rslots should be 180-195space minimum.
The Dante Alighieri is a dreadnought battleship of world war 1, and suffers a similar problem. The actual battleship carried 12 12inch in 4 turrets. I looked that up and saw that its space(200) isnt enough to mount the 12"/46 Model 1909(200), and ammunition(6 per bind). R slots should be 215-225space minimum.
Both ships need larger space on their main gun slots just to carry ammunition for their real-life weapons.
Is it too much to ask that ships be able to mount at least their historical guns? Its not like Im asking they mount 15x20inch guns. Most ships ingame are able to carry larger calibers than real-life, such as mounting 16inch guns on the Tennesse, but these cannot use their historical or equivalent guns?
Now I did some more checking on other old battleships from the other tech trees, especially the French and Soviet trees. They dont have the problems with mounting less-than-historical weapons, and like most ships can mount a little better. I looked up some info from several years ago and both ships seem to have had larger Rslot space then.
Are the Italian 12inch guns some kind or superweapons or is it an oversight to leave those ships unfinished?
