It is possible for sailors to be given a nation reset and a ship tree reset.  How about a role/job reset?  It would only make sense to do it between roles using the same main attribute e.g. switching between Bridge Operator, Radio Operator, Sonarman, Planesman, Air Assault, Marine Landing force, all of which use Potential; switching between different pilot roles; switching between Restore , Repair, Engineer; switching between different types of Gunners.

Clearly it would have to be expensive like the other resets.
